Draw Size
Each draw will be limited to 16 players with an Feed in thru Quarterfinals (FICQ). Draws were based off of the most recent standings list, 4/30/18.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES (CHECK IN & MATCH TIMES)
Play will be on Saturday and Sunday for this tournament. All information regarding the tournament will be posted to this site. *PLEASE ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO EACH OF YOUR SCHEDULED MATCHES.* **CHECK THE WEBSITE MULTIPLE TIMES DAILY FOR ANY CHANGES TO MATCH TIMES OR CHANGES DUE TO WEATHER UPDATES.**
It is the Player's responsibility to locate your match SITE and TIME, located on the draws, and report directly to the Tournament Desk 30 minutes prior to ALL match times. Be prepared to play early if courts are available. Report the scores WITH your opponent. WINNER should return the balls to the desk.

Selection Process
Players will be selected based on the most recent published NC standing list. The names of players who have been selected will appear as "Competitors" after the tournament deadline when selections are made. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.

L5 Eligibility Information BG 12s-18s
Players will be selected based on the most recent
end of month's published NC standing list. Players cannot have standing in the
top 100 in their respective age division. The names of players who have
been selected will appear as “Competitors” after the tournament deadline when

WEATHER UPDATES
Updates to the tournament due to inclement weather conditions will be posted on this website. Please make sure to check this website on a daily basis for any updates. Please do not assume events will be cancelled due to inclement weather.

NCTA Rain Policy
1. Any division where play has begun – no refund
2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual
expenses.
3. All scores must be reported (incomplete matches included). They would be recorded as
ABANDONED matches.
4. No tournament may reschedule without the approval of the S & S Committee.
5. If a tournament is unable to complete the tournament within the sanctioned dates,
no extensions will be allowed. The tournament will be over. This is because of the
points per round system used for ranking.
6. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled
due to inclement weather.

AGE DIVISION DETAILS
8 & under Tournament Rally Ball Division: The Rally Ball 8 & under division will be played Saturday: START TIME TBD. The Rally Ball Division is designed for beginner 8s players who have little to no tournament experience. Matches will be a Round Robin format and played on the 36ft courts with Wilson Red Balls. Players are required to use racquets that are 23in or shorter (all racquets will be measured at check-in). Points will begin with a drop hit into any part of the court. From there, all normal rules of tennis will apply. They will play 2 out of 3 games to 7 points, win by 2. The tournament will be completed in a matter of a few hours. If you would like to participate in the Rally Ball Division, you must email the tournament director (maria.mood-brown@townofcary.org) AFTER REGISTERING THROUGH TENNISLINK. Otherwise you will be put in the Advanced 8s Division by default.
8 & Under Tournament Advanced Division:The Advanced 8 & under division will be played Saturday: START TIME TBD. Matches will be a Round Robin format and played on the 36ft courts with Wilson Red Balls. Players are required to use racquets that are 23in or shorter (all racquets will be measured at check-in). Serves must go diagonally into the correct box. First serves must be hit out of the air into the correct service box, second serves can be hit off of the bounce still into the correct service box. Scoring will be 2 out of 3 games to 7 points, win by 2 points. Players will serve two points each. A change of ends will occur after each game. Players are placed in this division by default.
10U Division (Orange Level 2)10s will play with the Wilson Orange Ball on the 60 ft. court. Players must use a racquet no longer than 25 inches (all racquets subject to measurement). Please leave larger sized racquets at home. They will not be allowed on court. Play will be 2 out of 3 short sets to 4 games with "AD scoring." At 4-4, a 7 point tiebreaker is player to determine the set. If the players split sets, a 7 piont tiebreaker is played in lieu of the third set and will determine the match.
12s Division12s will play with the Wilson Green Dot Ball. Scoring will be two out of three sets to 6 games, win by 2. A 7 point tiebreaker is played at 6-6. If the players split sets, a 10 point tiebreaker will be played in lieu of the third set to determine the match.
14s-16s DivisionsWill play with Wilson Extra Duty Tournament Balls. Scoring will be 2 out of 3 sets to 6 games, win by two. At 6-6, a 7 point tiebreaker will be played to determine the set. If the players split sets, a 10 point tiebreaker will be played in lieu of the third set to determine the match.

WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawals Before Deadline If you need to withdraw before the deadline, you must do so yourself through this website. Click on edit registration, then withdraw. You will need your original confirmation number. The Tournament Director does not have the ability to withdraw a player before the deadline.
Withdrawals After the Deadline After the registration deadline, the only way to withdraw is via email to the tournament director (maria.mood-brown@townofcary.org). The email provides a written copy of the request. There will be no refunds after the deadline.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, April 30, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
