Head's up that there is a triathlon in the vicinity of Collin College, so plan on accessing the courts from 75 and going east on Spring Creek as usual. Turn right on Jupiter. There will be police officers and a lot of red cones visible when you turn onto Jupiter--the police officers may let you park in the Collin College lot or they may ask you to park in the Convention Center parking lot and walk to the courts. Either way will work. When exiting Collin College just go out the parking lot and go left or South--Jupiter is open going south.

IMPT: Monday Withdrawal Rule to Keep Ranking Points Remains in Effect in 2018 - Please Read
Players are required to inform the tournament desk or tournament
director the day before of their intent not to complete their matches on
the last day of the tournament. This must occur no later than 6pm
Sunday for singles draws that end on Monday or 6pm Monday for singles
draws that end on Tuesday. It also can be done within 15 minutes of
completing their final match of the day (whichever is later). For
this tournament, all B draw singles players must inform the site or
tournament director by Sunday at 6pm for Monday (9/3) matches. All A
draw singles players must inform the site or tournament director by
Monday at 6pm for Tuesday (9/4) matches. The director will inform
the opponent immediately of any withdrawals. Players who pull out after
Sunday or Monday at 6pm will have their match coded as a withdrawal and
will receive no points for their wins in that tournament. If a player
gets injured or ill after that 6pm deadline and they think it's
important to "keep their points" they (the player) will need to
physically show up on Monday or Tuesday morning and pull out in person
in order to have that match coded a walkover and retain their points.

Check-In Procedure--Important Friendly Warning
Please register at your playing site 15-30
minutes before your first match. It is not cool to wait until the last minute to check in--and please be aware that USTA penalties will apply for late check-ins. Remember that the check-in process for your first match will include taking the USTA Player Oath, signing in that you took the oath, giving the site workers your cell phone number, picking up your super cool tournament t-shirt and after you have completed all those steps THEN you'll be checked in on the computer with the tournament desk staff.
Allow 30-15 minutes before your first match to complete these procedures. For example, if you wait until 7:50 AM to check in for an 8:00 AM match you are taking a big risk that you will complete the check-in process before 8:00 AM. We do not want anyone to be penalized for late check-ins, but we do want to strongly emphasize not waiting until the last minute to check in. This is your responsibility.
Once your are checked in we will consider you 100% ready to play (you've filled up your water jug, gone to the restroom etc.) AND you must remain super close to the tournament desk within earshot of the site staff--we are not going to yell to call matches and we will start the clock on anyone who checks in and then goes to get their rackets out of the car, etc.
For second round matches onward please check in at least 15 minutes before your match time ready to play. Thanks for your cooperation!

Doubles Registration
Players may register with or without a partner. Those who register with a
partner must indicate their partner through the online registration
system before the entry deadline. Players will need to correctly
identify their doubles partner during their initial registration process
or they may go back later, prior to the entry deadline, and “Edit
Registration” to indicate their partner of choice. Correct doubles
registration is the player’s responsibility. Immediately after
registration, players need to check the Applicant List to ensure they
are registered with their partner of choice (and their partner is also
registered with them). Remaining individual players will be paired up
based on the order of the Texas Standing List. There will be a 24 hour
doubles pairing period after the deadline for players to correct any
errors in their doubles registration.
|
Doubles Process and Tournament Timeline
For doubles, if one player in a team withdraws, the partner will have
until Wednesday, August 29th at 12 Noon to find a new partner. After
Wednesday at Noon, if the remaining player is left unpaired, they will
be removed from the draw. After the Noon deadline, teams will be
re-seeded into draws based on the updated combined Super Champ Standing of the
final teams. Any withdrawal made after Wednesday at Noon results in the
entire team being withdrawn. The Wednesday 12 Noon deadline gives the TD
time to adjust both singles and doubles draws prior to the Thursday
6:00 PM draw posting.
