DRAWS HAVE BEEN POSTED
The draws, match time, and playing sites for this weekend's tournament have been posted. To check a player's draw and first match time, click on "Draws" and find the correct draw for your child's event (either Boys 10's Orange Ball, Boys 10's Green Ball, Girls 10's Orange Ball, or Girls 10's Green Ball).
There will be multiple draws with with names like "Girls 10's Green Ball U.S. Open", "Girls 10's Green Ball Wimbledon", or Girls 10's Green Ball A Draw". If necessary, check each draw in your player's event, to find your child. Once you find your child, note the first match start time and make sure to arrive at High Point at least thirty minutes in advance of first match time. Please note that all 10's (Orange Ball and Green Ball) will be played at High Point Park Tennis Center.
It is important to read all messages on the tournament homepage. Doing so will help you and your child have a positive tournament experience. Please remember to check the tourney homepage periodically throughout the tourney for any updates due to bad weather or changes in your child's playing schedule (due to withdrawals, in most cases). It is a good idea to check your child's schedule Friday night and early Saturday morning when withdrawals are often reported. If time permits, we will contact parents of players affected by withdrawals.

10 & Under – USTA Texas regulations mandate that all junior sanctioned tournaments offer 10 & Under Orange Ball Division (orange ball, 60 foot court and 25 inch racquet) and 10 & Under Green Ball Division (green ball, 78 foot court and 27 inch racquet). For the full 10 & under regulation, please visit our website www.texas.usta.com, click on 10 & Under Tennis.
|
First-off Consolation – All Challengers and CMZs use the First Off Consolation Format. This format will show as Single Elimination on the tournament homepage, but all players are guaranteed two matches. This format eliminates “maybe matches” and almost every player in consolation will play their first consolation match on Saturday. How does it work? Players that lose in the main draw will be fed into the consolation draw in the order that they come off the court (i.e. the first player to come off the court will go on line one, the sixth player to come off the court will go on line six). This new format ensures more players playing on Saturday and an overall better tournament.
|
Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.
|
USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament
|
Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
