BAD WEATHER PLAN 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21
If the weather forecast is accurate, there will be rain delays tomorrow. At this point, however, the schedule has not been changed. If it rains overnight, we will post any schedule updates by 6:30 a.m. on the tournament homepage and the Rainout Line. Before heading to your playing site tomorrow, we suggest you check the Rainout Line or the tournament homepage early tomorrow morning. Our goal is to complete the tournament this weekend. To communicate weather delays and schedule changes, we will use the Rainout Line, a system designed to communicate to players and parents in bad weather situations. We have used it at High Point for several months now and it works great! We encourage you to download the Rainout Line app and have weather delays and updates sent to your cell phone automatically! If you do not want to download the app, just call the Rainout Line to hear the latest info on weather delays and schedule changes. Please see the section below on how to use the Rainout Line.
|
RAINOUT LINE 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21
In the event of inclement weather, using the Rainout Line, there are two ways to receive updates on court conditions & impact on the tournament. 1) Dial (972) 210-2936, Option 4 for an automated message. Note: This phone number is different from the main number for High Point Tennis Center. If you choose to call the Rainout Line, rather than downloading the app, please call the line frequently if there is doubt about rain delays and schedule changes. 2) Download the app "Rainout Line" on your cell phone. Both iphone and Android versions are free. Once you've downloaded the app, type "PLANO PARKS & RECREATION" in the search box. Then tap the 'bell' next to High Point Tennis Center, to receive automatic updates on your cell phone.
We will update messages as quickly as possible, but it may take a few minutes, especially when we have multiple sites to consider. The information posted through these two sources is the same exact information that you would receive if you were to call High Point.
