Update # 2 RED and ORANGE BALL DRAWS
Draws will be posted Monday evening, we have both RED and Orange Ball schedule this Sat. June 9th, there will be both Red Ball and Orange Ball events check draw carefully , before that check web page for participant
list (TAB LOCATED ON LOWER LEFT OF WEB PAGE SCREEN) this means your player is in that event

Please read information below and go over this with your player(s).
See everyone on Saturday, arrive 30 mins prior to match play.
Parents
please make sure that your child knows how to keep score, they must know
how to keep score, serve and make all their own line calls. All players
must be able to do all this before they go
on court, please go over all rules below with your child before they
play this coming Saturday.
Event: Orange Ball (3) Red Ball (3) balls stay on court after match for next match
Site: Pottstown High School
Match time: 10:00ammatches start
Parents / coaches bring food and water for player 4-6 hour day, plan ahead
have them start hydrating with water three days before event
Parent information:
* Parents please let your child make there own calls and learn to say the score out loud for opponent to hear
* they have to learn on there own, even if they make a mistake
* If you see something that they did wrong please talk to them
after the match not during
* Parents are not allowed on the courts, or to get involved in any way with the match, even between 2nd and 3rd set
* Parents NEVER speak to opponent players, if there are issues address them with umpire, when they occur not after match or next day
* Players are guaranteed three matches during this event
* BREAK TIME BETWEEN MATCHES APPROX !5 TO 20 MINS ONLY
* The umpire on duty will be there if players have any questions or problems

ORANGE BALL COMPETITION:
* Once match play starts players MUST get permission to leave court, they may not just leave playing area
* Spin for winners choice before 5 min warm-up including serves
* match will be 2 out of 3 short sets to 4 games each
* it will be No advantage (no-ad) scoring
* If they get to 3 POINTS all, next point wins game
* if they get to 3-3 GAMES
all, next game wins set
* if 3rd set is necessary, they will play a
SET tiebreak 1st to 7 points by 2 point margin
* if they need help with tiebreak, umpire can assist
* They play 45 mins time limits, who ever is ahead wins when umpire stops match not players or parents
* Players
leave balls on court, update score keeper on court to zero, this helps
umpire know what courts are open, both players report to desk to give
scores and get next match time
RED BALL COMPETITION:

Please go over scoring with your player before Saturday
inform them to be ready when match is called, not going to the restroom

smaller racquet Orange Ball, 23 inch racquet or smaller Red Ball)
MAKE SURE THEY UNDERSTAND DIFFERENT COURT LINES FOR DIFFERENT EVENTS
Umpire will go over everything with them again before they play
Players
are always responsible for getting next match time at tournament desk ,
not club desk, if you leave grounds with player let umpire know
if your player is not going to play next round let umpire know ASAP so other player is not waiting around
