What's Wilson Night?
Wilson Nights are fun non-elimination match play nights that have been
held in the Dallas area for over 30 years with incredible success! Many
of the best players in the metroplex began their competitive career by
falling in love with the sport while attending Wilson Nights. The
goal is for everyone to get a bunch of singles and doubles matches
played in a non-elimination format in one evening. Instead of giving
trophies to a few winners, we'll have a big prize drawing with
everyone's name in the "hat" at the end of the evening. There's free
sno cones, snacks and drinks for all players.
Quite simply, you don't want to miss this fun tennis event. Read the
"Notes" section below for more FAQ.

Notes
Wilson Nights are fun, non-elimination Friday night match play
events for orange, green, and yellow ball juniors. Many of the best
junior players in the metroplex began their competitive career by
falling in love with the sport while attending Wilson Night.
Check-in is at 6:45 PM and play is from 7:00-10:15 PM. All
competitors will play singles, doubles, enjoy all you can eat
snacks, drinks, and sno cones, and there's always a big Grand Prize
drawing to end the night at 10:!5 PM. This is the last Wilson Night
of summer, but we'll announce the Fall schedule in early
August.
You'll want to get signed up ASAP as only the first 36 players will
be accepted into the event. If you are 14 years or younger you are
eligible to play--if you are 15 years old or older you are too old
for Wilson Nights!
Beginner through Challenger tournament players will love the
non-elimination format--and we'll make sure you play other players
at your level. Most kids play 3 sets of singles and 1 or 2 sets of
doubles each Wilson Night...and we'll also make sure that everyone
wins a couple and loses a couple of matches! Please note that no
Champs or Super Champs are eligible to participate--although Champs
and Supers are welcome to volunteer at Wilson Nights!
Remember, the first 36 players for each event are "in" and we'll
keep a waiting list for overflow players, so get signed up right
away! You can register online at usta.com (a usta number or free
usta account number is required for online registration) or you can
register by emailing Sally Frame at sally10s@me.com and pay at
check-in. If the event is cancelled due to bad weather no refunds
will be issued, but you will be given a "credit" for any 2017
Wilson Night.
All matches will be played at Lakes Tennis Academy, 4000 Legacy
Drive, Frisco 75034 (972) 668-5253.
As we mentioned earlier (but it bears repeating) check in starts at
6:45 PM and play starts at 7:00 PM. Don't worry about signing up
with a doubles partner--most players will find a partner during the
event and we'll help everyone else get paired up. The $35 entry fee
includes everything--singles, doubles, balls, snacks, drinks, and
sno cones.
PS--although everyone will sign up in an "event" like B12 singles,
we are going to pair players up for matches based on their skill
level. So--12's may play 14's, boys and girls may play each other,
etc.
And--as mentioned above--you do not need to be a USTA member to
play this event. If you don't have a USTA membership you can get a
FREE USTA account and use that number to register online. To get a
free account, go to usta.com and click on "tennislink" in the upper
right hand corner. Scroll down to the middle of the page where
you'll see a red banner that says "Don't Have a USTA account?.
Click on this and then follow the instructions. It's not as
complicated as it sounds!
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
