As has been posted below since January the registration is MANDATORY for all players and will be held 5-7 PM at the Hilton El Conquistador. We do understand the time involved to attend this event. We do understand travel challenges. We and the USTA do expect ALL players to be here by 7 PM. Team rosters will be finalized at that point and if you have not registered by 7 PM you may be replaced with an alternate. Thank you.

USTA Membership

Membership in the USTA is required to compete in all USTA National Championships, USTA National Doubles Championships, USTA National Masters, USTA National Sweet Sixteen, USTA National Selection Tournaments, Open and Closed USTA Regional Tournaments, Additional USTA Junior National Tournaments, USTA National Spring Team Championships, USTA National Team Championships, USTA Intersectional Team Championships, and USTA Zone Team Championships. All US juniors must be in good standing with the USTA to enter ITF Tournaments and USTA International Tournaments, which includes USTA Membership. Age Eligibility

The USTA uses a "month of birth" age eligibility rule for junior players competing in USTA sanctioned tournaments. This rule applies to all local, District, Sectional, and National USTA sanctioned tournaments – it does not apply to USTA International Tournaments and ITF Tournaments. Junior players may continue to play in the 12, 14, 16 and 18 age divisions until the month they turn 13, 15, 17, or 19, respectively.
USTA International Tournaments and ITF Tournaments use a "year of birth" age eligibility rule. Juniors may play the 18s, 16s, 14s or 12s division until the year in which they turn 13, 15, 17, or 19 respectively.

Professionals

Professional players who are age eligible may enter and play in all USTA National Championships. USTA International Tournaments and ITF Tournaments are governed by ITF Regulations and allow professional players to play. All other USTA junior tournaments are limited to amateurs.

Citizenship and Residency Requirements

USTA National Championships, USTA National Doubles Championships, USTA National Masters, USTA National Sweet Sixteen, USTA National Selection Tournaments, Open and Closed USTA Regional Tournaments, Additional USTA Junior National Tournaments, USTA National Spring Team Championships, USTA National Team Championships, USTA Intersectional Team Championships, and USTA Zone Team Championships shall be open to US citizens and: *
Permanent resident aliens of the United States. *
Diplomats. Aliens who have resided in the United States continuously for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps. *
Aliens with Refugee Status. Aliens who have been granted Refugee Status. *
Aliens with Asylee Status. Aliens who have been granted Asylee Status. Aliens with Temporary Protected Status. Aliens who have been granted Temporary Protected Status. *
Aliens with Adjustment Status. Aliens whose I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Resident or Adjust Status) has been accepted for filing. *
British Columbians. Canadian citizens and landed Canadian immigrants who reside in British Columbia, provided that they were USTA members for at least one month during 2010 and so long as they do not allow their USTA memberships to laps for a period of more than six months.
Documents commonly used to support a particular alien status include a permanent resident alien card (green card), Form I-94, or a receipt confirming filing of the I-485.

Composition of Teams.

Each team shall be comprised of 6 players. Players shall be waterfalled onto teams as described below.
Timing of Waterfall.

No earlier than three days before the start of the tournament, the Tournament Committee shall waterfall players as described below.
Waterfalling Method.

Players in each division shall be waterfalled onto 8 teams so as to distribute the players among the teams. Before water-falling, players shall be ordered based on the order in which their names appear on the on the most recently published National Standings List.

This form MUST be signed by all parents and players and presented by the Mandatory registration date of February 28th.

Practice Courts will be available on a first come, first serve basis at both the Pusch Ridge and Community Center (formerly the Country Club) sites each day before matches begin and after play ends. Draw Format and Standardized Tournament Schedule of Play.
March 3rd will be a practice day with match play the 4th-6th. (Participants and coaches are required to attend the registration and orientation on March 2nd

The draw format shall be a Compass Draw of 8 teams and teams shall play one round per day. The standardized schedule will incorporate time for training and education for the tournament participants.
Seeding.

The draws shall not be seeded.
Match Formats.

All singles matches shall be the best of 3 Tiebreak Sets. All doubles match formats shall be a 6-game set with a 7-Point Tiebreak at 5 games all No-ad Scoring.
Team Line-ups.

The team line-up for each Team Match must be submitted to the Tournament Committee prior to the Team Match at a time to be determined by the Tournament Committee. No changes to the team line-up may be made except for illness, injury, or personal circumstances and are subject to the approval of the Tournament Committee. A player, for reason of illness, injury or personal circumstances, who does not play their a match or retires from a match is eligible to play a subsequent match on the same day.
• Singles Line-up: The #1 waterfalled players in each division will play each other; the #2 waterfalled players in each division will play each other.
• Doubles Line-up - BG12 Tournament: Doubles combinations and line-ups will be determined by the coach. Coaches must use good faith in determining the lineup order based on strength,

except that the #1 player must play in the #1 doubles position.
Team Match.

Each Team Match shall consist of three doubles matches followed by six singles matches. Each team will receive one point for each singles win and the team that wins of a majority of the doubles matches receives one point.
Determining the Winner of a Team Match.

Each singles and doubles match counts for one point. The total possible points earned in a Team Match is 7 points. The team that wins the most points wins the Team Match. If the Team Match score is tied because, for example inclement weather does not permit all matches to be played or a match goes un-played because playoff a double walkover, the coach of each tied team shall designate two players from their team to play a doubles 10-Point Match Tiebreak to determine the Team Match Winner.
Match Score Sheet.

After the completion of a team match, the coaches of both teams must sign the score sheet.
During-Tournament Alternate Procedure if Team Unable to Field Full Roster.

If at any time a player at the tournament is unable to compete in one or more matches, the Coach shall notify the Tournament Director. The Tournament Director shall work with the Coach to find an alternate to substitute in for the player.
If an alternate substitutes in for one or more matches, the alternate shall play in the singles and/or doubles lineups in the last position and all other players or teams shall move up a position. The matches played will count toward the team score and will count for junior national ranking.
In singles, if an alternate is not found and a default occurs in the #1 position in an age division, the default Section 13 - 6
shall occur in the #2 singles position in the age division and the #2 players shall move up a position. In doubles, if an alternate is not found and a default occurs in, the default shall occur in the last doubles position and all other teams shall move up a position.
A player, for reason of illness, injury or personal circumstances, or default due to lateness, who does not play a match, is eligible to play another match on the same day and on a subsequent day. A player who is defaulted for reasons other than lateness is not permitted to play in a subsequent match.

It is a player’s responsibility to immediately take action to withdraw from the tournament should circumstances arise
which would not enable a player to compete. Good sportsmanship and the USTA Regulations dictate that a player
should never:
• enter a tournament they do not intend to finish
• withdraw from a tournament after entries close unless it is for injury, illness or personal circumstance
• enter two or more concurrent tournaments without prior written approval from each Tournament Committee
Withdrawing from a tournament:
• Prior to Entry Deadline: If entries have not yet closed, a player may withdraw by going to the tournament’s USTA
TennisLink homepage – the same web page where the player registered for the tournament. Once in the system,
click on the “Register Now” text in red. When taken to the next page, click on “Withdraw” on the left-hand side
of the screen. You will need your confirmation number from your original registration to withdraw. Because your
credit card will not be charged prior to the entry deadline, no refund needs to be made. If you cannot locate your
confirmation number, contact linkteam@usta.com.
• Previously Authorized Entries into Concurrent Tournaments: If a player has previously received written approval
to enter concurrent tournaments from each Tournament Committee, the player must immediately notify the
Tournament Director and/or Referee to let them know which tournament the player has chosen to play.
• After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament – telephone numbers
and email addresses of the Tournament Director and/or Referee will be posted on the tournament’s USTA TennisLink
homepage. Players must also fulfill the written verification requirements described below if the withdrawal is for
injury, illness or personal circumstance and the player wants to avoid being levied USTA Suspension Points.
Entry Fee Refund:
• Player is Not Accepted Into Tournament: If a player has previously paid an entry fee and is not accepted into the
tournament, the player is entitled to a refund. Generally, in USTA National Junior Tournaments, no player is charged
an entry fee until tournament selection is done and the acceptance list is published to the tournament website. The
TennisLink processing fee paid in addition to the entry fee is not refundable.
• Previously Authorized Entries into Concurrent Tournaments: If a player has previously received written authority
to enter concurrent tournaments from each Tournament Committee, the player is entitled to a refund from the
tournament(s) that will not be played. The TennisLink processing fee paid, in addition to the entry fee, is not
refundable.
• Other Withdrawals after the Entry Deadline: Players who withdraw after the entry deadline for any reason other
than a previously authorized entry into concurrent tournaments are not entitled to a refund.
USTA Suspension Points:
Any withdrawal (other than for previously authorized entry into concurrent tournaments) that does not meet the written
verification requirements described below by the last scheduled day of the tournament (and, in the case of personal
circumstances, has also been approved as a personal circumstance by the Referee) will result in the player being levied
suspension points, and any match that is not played will be coded as a Default.
Written Verification Requirement for Withdrawals Due to Injury, Illness or Personal
Circumstance:
• Illness or Injury: The required written verification of an injury or illness must be from a medical professional and
must be received by the tournament no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament.
• Personal Circumstance: If the player is withdrawing because of a personal circumstance, the player must deliver
a written description of the situation no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament, and the Referee will
determine whether the situation is a personal circumstance.. more info

All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut off shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts & tights (alone), or any other attire that is simply recreational and not tennis oriented is unacceptable.

Team Coach.

Coaches will be selected by the national Player Development Staff from among National Coaches, RTC coaches, and USTA "faculty" coaches
Coaching.

The designated team coach may coach a player who remains on court during set breaks or changeovers, except during the first changeover of a set and a tiebreak. Coaching must be carried out in a manner that does not distract play on adjoining courts. The coach may only enter the court on a changeover or a set break. Off-court coaching may be done during the permitted breaks and changeovers from a position outside the court at the fence line.

One team shall be recognized for outstanding sportsmanship with the USTA Team Sportsmanship Award.
