ENDORSEMENT PROCEDURE:
*** In each age group, if an earned quota position is not accepted by a player and the Wild Card was not granted prior to the tournament, the Wild card will be granted to the next highest eligible tournament participant on the first Midwest ranking list that includes tournament results. Selection to the Midwest Closed District Quota spots or alternate positions cannot be awarded to a player, other than a wildcard, who has not won a match at the District Qualifier. The Central Indiana District has been allocated 13 "Quota" spots for automatic selection to the 2016 Midwest Outdoor Closed tournament this year. The Endorsement process has been updated to select players from the Central Indiana District Championships - District Qualifier event in the BG 12-18 age divisions.
1) The Qualifier Winner, Finalist, 3rd Place, 4th Place and 4 Singles Quarter finalists will be endorsed. 2) The 4 FIC Semifinalists will also be endorsed. 3) The final endorsed position will go to the FIC Quarterfinalist loser who is higher on the USTA/Midwest Standings List prior to the start of the tournament (FIC thru round of 16), unless this spot has been taken by a Wildcard position. 4) Alternates will be selected from the remaining non-Quota players in the rankingTOURNAMENT WILL BE A 64 DRAW SINGLES FOR EACH DIVISION AND INCLUDE A FEED-IN CONSOLATION. DOUBLES WILL BE A 32 SINGLE-ELIMINATION DRAW FOR EACH DIVISION. WE CANNOT CONTACT YOU UNLESS YOU PROVIDE US YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide contact information to tournament directors unless the customer provides the contact information during the registration process. Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.

All singles and doubles draws will be posted on Thursday, June 8 at 4 p.m. Please click on Future Match Info on Tuesday, June 6 after 7 p.m. for your specific time for singles and doubles, and also your win/loss time.

ENTRY INFORMATION
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR SINGLES OR DOUBLES!
Tournament will be a 64 FIC draw for singles and 32 SE draw for doubles. Please see link at the top of the homepage for information on selection and seeding.
Only selected singles players, in their singles division are guaranteed a spot in their age division doubles. Players will not be selected to play in a different age division other than their singles division unless draws in that age division are not full and may not be selected to play any doubles. WHEN REGISTERING FOR DOUBLES, YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR PARTNER'S NAME AND USTA #. Anyone who signs up for doubles without a partner will be assigned a partner after the entry deadline given an even number of entrants. If you sign up without a doubles partner but find one before the entry deadline both partners need to email jmbraden@purdue.edu to confirm the doubles team.

SITE INFORMATION:
All matches will be played at Schwartz Tennis Center - 1324 McCormick Rd. West Lafayette, IN 47906. If your GPS does not recognize McCormick Rd, State Rd 526 may also work.

ORDER OF PLAY:
Friday - 2 rounds of Doubles followed by 2 rounds of Main Draw Singles Saturday - 1 round of Doubles, 2 rounds of Main Draw Singles and 3 rounds of FIC Singles Sunday - 2 rounds of Main Draw Singles, 3 rounds of FIC Singles, Doubles Final Monday - FIC Singles Final (The Order of Play may be altered based on the size of the draw and weather)

TOURNAMENT CHECK IN:
Please be at Schwartz Tennis Center and check in at least 30-minutes prior to the start of your scheduled match time. Each player must check in personally.

MATCH FORMAT
All Main Draw Singles and FIC Singles matches will play the best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set with advantage scoring in all matches. After splitting sets, a player will be entitled to a three-minute rest break before playing the match tiebreak. The player is allowed to leave the court for coaching but MUST be ready to play at the end of three minutes. FIC will be played to completion. Doubles matches will use advantage scoring playing an 8-game pro set with a 7-point tiebreak if the score reaches 8-all. The doubles final will be the best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.

PRACTICE COURTS:
Practice courts are available on a first come first serve basis at Schwartz Tennis Center. There is no charge for outdoor practice courts. Players must be willing to accommodate up to 4 tournament participants per court and the tournament director reserves the right to limit practice courts to tournament participants only (no coaches/parents/etc). 12 outdoor practice courts will be available prior to the start of play each day and a limited number of outdoor practice courts will be available after play begins throughout the day.
Other Practice Court Locations - Cumberland Elementary School - 600 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette, IN 47906. 10 outdoor courts. Purdue University Recreational Sports Center - 355 Martin Jischke Drive West Lafayette, IN 47907. 6 outdoor courts located behind the rec facility.

DRESS CODE:
Acceptable tennis attire is required.

STRINGING:
Stringing services will be offered throughout the tournament. The cost is $16.05/racquet if providing your own string. We have string available for purchase ranging from $25-$40, including labor. Turn around time will be as quickly as possible.

Quota spots or alternate positions cannot be awarded to a player, other than a
wildcard, who has not won a match at the District Qualifier. The Central

selection to the 2018 Midwest Outdoor Closed tournament this year. The
Endorsement process has been updated to select players from the Central Indiana
District Championships - District Qualifier event in the BG 12-18 age
divisions. The following players shall
be awarded the “Quota” spots:
1) The 4 main draw semifinalists;
2) The 4 FIC Semifinalists;
3) The 5 highest ranked players who won at least one match at the District
Qualifier, based on the Midwest points list generated immediately after
completion of the District Qualifier, unless any of these spots has been taken
by a Wildcard position.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 4, 2017 11:59:00 PM Indiana Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
