Dear Parents & Players - Thank you so much for signing up for our Smashers tournament this weekend! I loved seeing all the familiar faces and I know we are going to have a great day of tennis! I just finished the times on the draws and will be uploading those shortly for you to view. The email below will have some specific information about some of the draws and some general information for the tournament. If I didn't cover something you need answered, please don't hesitate to email me back. ScoringAll matches will use the traditional U10 scoring: best of 3, 4-game sets (first to win 4 games by a margin of 1), 7 pt. tiebreak for the 3rd set: NO ADD Scoring. We do not have any 5 person round robins so no draws will use the alternative one set scoring that you see in those instances. Warmup CourtsWe will be using all the indoor courts at Oak Tree for the tournament starting at 9 am. The facility will open at 8 am and you may warmup then for the day or you are welcome to use the outdoor courts at any time. Your child may also use the indoor track to warm up on also. There is just one match being played in that draw. It will take place on Sunday at 5:15 pm. Boys Green SinglesThe Boys Green singles will have CROSSPLAY when the round robins are both completed. These crossplay matches are scheduled to play at 2:15 pm on Sunday. Please do not leave before your crossplay match is completed. Girls Orange SinglesThere are no crossplay matches for the Girls Orange singles. All 3 draws are completely independent. Once your round robin matches are played, you are free to go home. SportsmanshipUSTA Oklahoma will be awarding 2 sportsmanship awards at this tournament. I will accept nominations for these awards from players, parents and coaches. Please make sure you submit your nomination by 5 pm on Sunday to the tournament desk. Tournament Check-In EtiquettePlease have all players check in with the tournament desk a few minutes before each scheduled match time. When they check in they should be ready to go on the court.
