Parents and Players,
Tournament draws and times have been posted. Please note that on Friday and Monday, the Zionsville High School Tennis Courts will be used for part of the event due to a schedule conflict at Zionsville West Middle School. The high school courts are located at the High School Athletic Complex (4400 S 875 E, Zionsville, IN 46077). Friday's matches will start at the High School courts and then move to Zionsville West Middle School (5565 S 700 E, Whitestown, IN 46075) for the afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday matches. Matches will move back to the high school courts on Monday morning. Please check the schedule carefully. If you have any questions, please contact Nelson Nguyen at nelson@teamwitsken.com.

Tournament will be a 64 FIC draw for singles and 32 SE draw for
doubles. Only selected singles players, in their singles division
are guaranteed a spot in their age division doubles. Players will
not be selected to play in a different age division other than
their singles division unless draws in that age division are not
full and may not be selected to play any doubles.
WHEN REGISTERING FOR DOUBLES, YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR PARTNER'S NAME
AND USTA #.
SCORING:
NEW***All Main Draw singles matches will play best 2 of 3 tiebreak
sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set with
advantage scoring in all matches. After splitting sets, a player
will be entitled to a three-minute rest break before playing the
match tiebreak. The player is allowed to leave the court for
coaching but MUST be ready to play at the end of three
minutes.
FIC singles matches will play the best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets with a
10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set with advantage
scoring in all matches. After splitting sets, a player will be
entitled to a three-minute rest break before playing the match
tiebreak. The player is allowed to leave the court for coaching but
MUST be ready to play at the end of three minutes.
Doubles matches will use advantage scoring playing an 8-game pro
set with a 7-point tiebreak if the score reaches 8-all. The doubles
final will be the best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets with advantage
scoring.
WE CANNOT CONTACT YOU UNLESS YOU PROVIDE US YOUR TELEPHONE
NUMBERS AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot
provide contact information to tournament directors unless the
customer provides the contact information during the registration
process. Previously the home phone number and email address were
pre-filled from the USTA Membership database when a player went
through the online registration process. The pre-fill was removed
due to privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address
and/or telephone number when you register for this tournament then
we will be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the
tournament.
TOURNAMENT CHECK IN:
Please be at the site of your scheduled match and check in at
least 30-minutes prior to the start of your scheduled match time.
Each player must check in personally.
PRACTICE COURTS:
Practice courts are available on a first come first serve basis.
There is no charge for practice courts (unless indoors). Players
must be willing to accommodate up to 4 tournament participants per
court. All 8:00 am matches will have practice courts available to
them at their match site starting at 7:15.
DRESS CODE:
Acceptable tennis attire is required.
HOTEL INFORMATION:
STRINGING:
Overnight stringing services are offered through Team Witsken.
Players are advised to provide their own string to ensure they get
what they want, otherwise a selection of Prince and Babolat strings
can be purchased to string racquets. Labor only charge is $20 for
overnight stringing, synthetic gut strings and labor start at
$25.
ORDER OF PLAY:
Friday matches will begin at 8:00 am.
Main Draw Singles will play the Rd of 64 and the Rd of 32. FIC will
play Rd 1. Saturday matches will begin at 8:00 a.m. beginning with
Doubles. Main Draw Singles will play the Rd of 16 and
Quarterfinals. FIC will play Rd 2 and Qualifying Rd 3. Doubles will
play Rd of 32 and Rd of 16. Sunday matches will begin at 8:00 am.
Main Draw will play Semifinals, 3rd/4th Place Match, and Finals.
FIC will play Rd 3, Qualifying Quarterfinals, and Quarterfinals.
Doubles will play Quarterfinals. Monday matches will begin at 8:00
am. FIC will play Semifinals and Finals . Doubles will play
Semifinals and Finals. (The Order of Play may be altered based on
the size of the draw)
Messages
*** In each age group, if an earned quota position is not accepted by a
player and the Wild Card was not granted prior to the tournament, the
Wild card will be granted to the next highest eligible tournament participant on the first
Midwest ranking list that includes tournament results.

Selection to the Midwest Closed District
Quota spots or alternate positions cannot be awarded to a player, other than a
wildcard, who has not won a match at the District Qualifier. The Central
Indiana District has been allocated 13 "Quota" spots for automatic
selection to the 2018 Midwest Outdoor Closed tournament this year. The
Endorsement process has been updated to select players from the Central Indiana
District Championships - District Qualifier event in the BG 12-18 age
divisions. The following players shall
be awarded the “Quota” spots:
1) The 4 main draw semifinalists;
2) The 4 FIC Semifinalists;
3) The 5 highest ranked players who won at least one match at the District
Qualifier, based on the Midwest points list generated immediately after
completion of the District Qualifier, unless any of these spots has been taken
by a Wildcard position.

TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 64 DRAW SINGLES FOR EACH DIVISION AND INCLUDE A FEED-IN CONSOLATION. DOUBLES WILL BE A 32 DRAW SINGLE ELIMINATION IN EACH DIVISION.
Competitors will be selected based on the most recent Midwest Standing list as of the date registration closes. Seeding will be based on UTR.
