Just About Everything You Need To Know About Saturday's Tournament!
The draws are now posted, the weather looks fantastic and it's "All Systems GO" for the DPTA Junior Circuit #6 Ace Tennis Services! We are now going to make our best attempt to walk you through the very important next steps of playing in this tournament.
As a general overview, we will be playing at three sites on Saturday: Plano Senior High School abbreviation PLANO (B10's orange ball, G10's orange ball, B10's green ball and G10's green ball), Richardson High School abbreviation RHS (B14, B16/18, and G12), and John Paul II High School abbreviation JPII (B12, G14, and G16/18). Maps, directions, and notes about each site are listed below--along with lots of other information about the rules and format. Scroll down and read all the notes, pretty please with sugar on top!
Please check in at your first round match site ready to play at least 30 minutes before your first round match time--that means you have your rackets, have gone to the restroom and are "ready"! Once you check in stay within earshot of the tournament desk so you can hear your name called to play your match--this is very important. Bring ice and water. Balls will be provided for each match. Every player will be required to read the "Player Oath" before playing their first match. USTA rules for lateness will apply. The USTA Spectator policy will apply as well---this will be posted at each site.
Everyone is scheduled to play at least two matches on Saturday and the entire tournament will be completed on Saturday. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and consolation winners in each event. All sites will be open at 7 AM for warm-ups. Players will get a 5 minute warm-up before starting each match.
To find your draw, site and match time: 1) Click on the tab "Draws" and find your child's event (Boys' 12 singles, for example). Click on the draw and locate your child's name. There is a bracket indicating who your child will be playing--look in the space between the names to see your first round match time and location. If your child wins, they will play another winner in the Main Draw. If your child loses, they will go into the consolation draw (you can click on that, too) and play another child who lost their first match.
And here's an important note--if your child is unable to play on Saturday please be courteous and let us know as soon as possible so we can inform your child's opponent. The procedure for this is to email Sally Frame at sally10s@me.com with your child's name and age group, reason for not playing, and your contact info.

Volunteers Adults and Older Juniors Needed
If you have some time to help with the tournament (no experience is necessary) your help will be greatly appreciated! Email Sally at sally10s@me.com if you can donate a couple of hours. Tasks would be things like giving out awards to winners, putting matches on court, helping the orange ball players keep score--your "job" would be suited to your skill level and comfort zone. 2017.
3. DPTA Junior Circuit tournaments are open to unqualified players
from all over Texas and other states, too. Anyone who is not Champ

at least two matches on Saturday, February 18. USTA age groups,
ball color and birthday rules apply.
