If you are coming from out of town, we hope everyone has a safe drive in. Check in for the tournament will be at the site you are playing this weekend. Check in will be today from 4 - 6 pm. There will be pizza and you can get your swag bag, bag tag and shirt. If some of you are not getting to your site until Saturday morning, please make sure you get there early so the tournament desk can get you your stuff. The tournament is hosted at 3 sites throughout Memphis. Below is listed sites, draw code, age group for site, surface, and number of courts.

This will be the host site located at 5111 Sanderlin Avenue, Memphis, TN 38117, in East Memphis. RACQUET CLUB from I-55S/I-40E: Continue on I-40E crossing Mississippi river. Take Exit 1E/240South/Jackson,MS. Continue for 4.9 miles merging into 240East-Nashville. Continue on 240 East for 7.5 miles taking Exit 17-Mt. Moriah Road North. Take left onto Mt. Moriah Rd. Take a right at the 2nd light onto White Station Rd. Continue on White Station Rd. for 2.2 miles to Sanderlin Rd. Left onto Sanderlin. Racquet Club on left.
RACQUET CLUB from I-40 W: Take exit 10A merging onto 240 West to Jackson, MS. Take exit 15-Poplar Ave. (72 West). Go .8 mi. taking a right onto White Station Rd.. Left at 1st light onto Sanderlin. From I-55 North: Merge onto 240 East via exit 6A toward Nashville. Take exit 17-Mt. Moriah North. Left onto Mt. Moriah. Right at 2nd light onto White Station Rd. Go 2.3 miles taking a left on Sanderlin Ave
RACQUET CLUB to MEMPHIS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL: Exit RC right onto Sanderlin. Right at first light onto White Station. Left at 1st light onto Poplar Ave. Continue appr. 2.5 miles. Right at light onto Ridgeway. Take a left at the 2nd light "Primacy Parkway" into the high school. Go thru the security gate and take a right at the first turn. Take another right at the first stop sign and the courts will be on your right. Est. Time: 11 minutes
Memphis University School to RACQUET CLUB: Exit Memphis University School right onto ridgeway. Continue thru first light and take a left onto poplar. Continue appr. 2.5 miles and turn right onto White Station. Turn left at Sanderlin (next light). RC will be on your left. Est. time 11 minutes.
RACQUET CLUB to RHODES COLLEGE: Exit RC left onto Sanderlin. Left at first light onto Mendenhall. Right at 1st light onto Poplar Ave. Continue 5.1 miles turning right onto East Parkway. Take left at 2nd light onto North Parkway. Turn right at 1st light onto University. Turn right into 2nd college entrance. Left at dead end and follow road around courts. Est. Time: 15 minutes
RHODES COLLEGE to RACQUET CLUB: Exit Rhodes college turning left on University. Turn left onto North Parkway. Turn right at 1st light onto East Parkway. Turn left at 2nd light onto Poplar Ave. Continue 5.1 miles. Take left on Mendenhall. Right onto Sanderlin and right into RC. Est. Time: 15 minutes

The Pub at The Racquet Club
We will open The Pub, here at The Racquet Club this weekend for tournament players, coaches and families. It is located inside the front of the club-to the right as you walk through the front doors. You'll be able to pay with credit card only, NO CASH will be accepted. Here are the hours The Pub will be open: Friday - open until 9:00 pm Saturday - 11;00am-4:00pm Sunday - 11:00am-2:00pm

Notes
CONDITIONS OF PLAY:
Doubles matches will be
scheduled to start Friday. Singles and Doubles will be scheduled on
Saturday and Sunday.
Each division will consist of two 16 feed in draws, with dependent
draws
- The draws will be waterfalled to make two balanced draws
- Each draw will use the new Level 3 Point table (increased
points)
- Up until Wednesday prior to the tournament start date, alternates
will fill in for any withdrawn player. On Wednesday, the tournament
director will split the 32 players into two balanced 16 draws using
a format supplied by the Southern office
- For seeding, USTA Southern will provide the selection list.
Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing
List in the age division in which they apply.
- After the draws are complete, the next alternate will fill a
"withdrawal" spot no matter in which draw the withdrawal occurs. If
a seeded player withdraws prior to 9:00 am local time the Friday
before the tournament, the seeds shall be adjusted (only in that
particular draw) according to FAC. If the withdrawal occurs after
9:00 am local time, the next alternate would be placed on same line
as withdrawing seed
- Out of Section players would be dealt as has been done in the
past, only after all of our Section players have been taken care of
first.
Point Table:
- The new Level 3 point table will be used starting January 1,
2014
Draw information:
- Two 16 feed in draws with
consolation draws.
- All singles matches will be best of two sets with a match
tiebreak to be used for the third set. U10 singles will be short
scoring, 2/3 sets, no ad, tiebreak 3rd set.
- If the number of entrants for a division is less than 24, one
draw will be made using a modified back draw.
- Doubles for age groups 12s-18s will be a single draw with a
maximum of 16 teams taken per age group.
- Doubles matches for BG12s-18s age groups will be a pro-set with a
7 pt. tie-break at 8/8.
- Doubles for 10s will be a single set with a 7 pt. tie-break at
6/6.-- NO AD SCORING
SURFACES:
Boys and Girls 10's, 12's, 14's and 18's are
played on hard courts. Boys and Girls 16's are played on clay. Due
to inclement weather, the referee has the right to use additional
surfaces at his/her discretion. Due to inclement weather, no- ad
scoring may be used for all matches at the discretion of the
referee.
TIMES:
Doubles play begins on Friday, August 4th.
Singles play begins on Saturday, August 5th. First match start
times are posted on-line Thursday, August 3rd. Daily, players are
to report to their respective match sites 30 minutes before their
scheduled matches. The first points (not warm ups) on Friday begin
at 3:00 pm.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES PROHIBITED ON COURT:
Players may not
use electronic devises on court that are designed for communication
(I-watch, cell phones, pda's, etc.) or data storage/display (pocket
notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc.). Use of these devices will
result in immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. (A
device that is in the "ON" mode constitutes use.) Notes and printed
material brought on court for reference with a player are
permitted.
TOURNAMENT BALL:
WILSON will be the official ball of
the tournament.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES:
All players must have a copy of a
Birth Certificate or Green Card on file in the Southern
office.
THE CODE:
In matches without an official on court,
players are expected to follow The Code. If you've never read it,
please do so.
LATE ENTRIES:
Anyone wanting to enter the tournament
after registration closes, has to email
jhorne@racquetclubofmemphis.com. If there are alternates in the
division you wish to enter, late entries go below all other
alternates, regardless of ranking. You have with in 24 hours after
the registration is closed to do so. The tournament will charge an
additional $25 in addition to the tournament fee for any late
entries. PLEASE NOTE the tournament director reserves the right to
not accept any late entries for any reason. No more late entries
will be accepted after 11:59 pm Sunday, July 30.
ON SITE ALTERNATES:
On- Site Alternates must CHECK-IN
at the OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN on Friday, August 4th. The
official On-Site Alternate List for each age group is ordered
according to the Official Alternate List posted in the weeks
leading up to the event. On-Site Alternates MUST CHECK-IN Saturday
morning with the referee at the respective sites (14's at Racquet
Club, 18's at RHODES, etc). After this it is a waiting game. If a
player does not show up for his/her FIRST match or withdraws before
playing his/her FIRST match, the first player on the On-Site
Alternate List is notified. On-Site alternates must be ON-SITE when
called, or the next player on the On-Site list is notified.
TRAINER: This tournament does provide a trainer. The trainer
is located at Rhodes College during tournament play.
STRINGING:
This year Jarryd Woog will be the official tournament stringer. He
is USRSA certified.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
This is a USTA sanctioned event and as such will follow the USTA
Handbook FRIEND AT COURT 2017.
Tournament reserves the right to move any age group or surface
to indoor hard courts due to weather or lighting issues.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
