Weather update Sunday 10:30am -- Tournament is Canceled
USTA says we have to wait until 2:00 of the last day of a tournament to cancel it. I say some things are just plain obvious. We still have showers in the area, everything is soaked, more rain is forecast through today and into tomorrow. Even under good conditions the courts, in their present condition, would take hours to become playable. The conditions are not good, high humidity, misty and overcast, cold wet courts. I see no way any and surly not all our courts will become payable today, probably not tomorrow either. We are going out on a limb and cancelling the tournament early. Sorry we couldn't finish, everything started so well on Friday with great weather. We knew we would get rain yesterday but thought it would be later than it started. Thanks to everyone for supporting our tournaments, we hope to see all again at future events.

Counting Points Up effective Jan. 1, 2017 To align with USTA National and Southern, USTA Georgia Junior Competition Committee has approved an amendment that will affect how Georgia standings will be calculated. Beginning January 1, 2017, the singles and doubles results for each player earned in a division for the previous 12-month period shall be counted as results in the next-older division at 20%. As such, players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings. A description of this new amendment may be found on the USTA Southern website at: http://www.southern.usta.com/Juniors/tournaments_rankings/2017_important_junior_updates/?intloc=headernavsub2
