Update 10:45am
After checking the weather forecast and the conditions of the courts we have decided to cancel the one day tournament that was to be held at Sweetwater Tennis Center today. We have notified USTA and they concur. Thanks to all for entering the tournament and I hope to see you in our July tournament. We will initiate refunds of entry fees and you should get a check in the next couple of weeks. Again, THANKS Charlie McCoy 770-819-3221

Update at 9:30am
The sky is looking much better but the courts are wet. The rain delay will be extended to 3 hours. Matches scheduled for 9am will now be 12. This will give us time to get the water off courts. Hopefully, this will be the last delay. Charlie McCoy 770-819-3221

Updater at 8:20am
Just had some more rain. I am extending the rain delay for 2 hours. That is the matches scheduled for 9:00am are now scheduled for 11:00am. Another update will be posted at 9:30am. It is not looking good but lets hope for a break in the weather. Charlie McCoy 770-819-3221

Update 7:45am
Right now I am sticking with the 1 hour delay that was previously posted (9am matches start at 10). I will update by 8:30am if that time has to change. It is definitely getting better. The rain has stopped so lets hope it holds off for a few hours. Charlie McCoy 770-819-3221

Update 6:45am
There is a slight drizzle falling. I have been able to check courts and even if it stops raining now, we will not be able to clean courts by 9am. So, we are now in a one hour delay. Matches scheduled for 9am are now 10am starts. Add one hour to each match time posted. I will update again at 7:45am. Thanks Charlie McCoy 770-819-3221

Update 6AM
I will be updating the status of tournament at least every hour. At this point we have had rain overnight. We have a lull right now and I am closely monitoring the weather. It is too dark outside to evaluate the condition of courts but I assume they are quite wet. I will post another update at 7am. As information, this tournament was sanctioned by USTA to be played today only so we can't postpone it until tomorrow. You might want to read the refund policy listed below just in case we are not able to play tournament. Also, for example if I were to post a 1 hour delay (I have not yet) then you would add one hour to the posted match times to get the revised time. I will have a better idea of where we stand at the 7am update. Phone number is 770-819-3221 Charlie McCoy

Girls 12 brackets
There are 2 entrants in the Girls 12 event. Per USTA rules, an event with 2 people must play a best 2 of 3 matches . In this case, the two players will play first match at 9am, and the second at 10am. If they split matches, a third match will be played after the end of second match and appropriate rest time. Call 770-819-3221 if you have any questions. Both the Boys 12 and 14 will be a round robin so no seeding was necessary since each participant will play the other during the round robin.
