Rescheduled Tournaments
The September SCMZ tournaments have been rescheduled. The
Austin 12-14s will be held on the weekend of October 21st and the Dallas SCMZ
16-18s will be held on the weekend of December 16th. You may only play in ONE
(1) of the rescheduled tournaments, October 21st or December 16th.
Players may also play in the Tier 4 SCMZ on Dec 2-3 as well as the October
Excellence on Oct 14-15 in addition to one of the rescheduled September

All Divisions at Both Locations
For the December SCMZs, 12s through 18s Super Champ players can choose which tournament they would like to compete in. The points awarded for each draw will be the same in both the College Station and Dallas tournaments.

Texas Tier 4 SCMZ Seeding and Selection on UTR (April, July, August, and December)
All seeding and selection will be based on Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for the 2017 April, July, August and December Texas Tier 4 Super Champ Major Zones (SCMZ). Doubles seeding and selection will be generated based on the pairings combined UTR with ties being broken with the team with the highest individual's UTR getting the higher spot. UTR Selection Timing
Each player's Universal Tennis Rating will be pulled from the system between 8 AM - 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 22nd. The UTR's pulled from this time period will be used for the entire pre-tournament process including splitting, seeding, pairing doubles teams, and replacing players.

Doubles Registration
Players may register with or without a partner. Those who register with a partner must indicate their partner through the online registration system before the entry deadline. Players will need to correctly identify their doubles partner during their initial registration process or they may go back later, prior to the entry deadline, and “Edit Registration” to indicate their partner of choice. Correct doubles registration is the player’s responsibility. Immediately after registration, players need to check the Applicant List to ensure they are registered with their partner of choice (and their partner is also registered with them). There will be a 24 hr pairing opportunity for those who make mistakes on Tuesday, November 21st. Players who did not indicate a partner will be send an email to their address associated with their account.

USTA Texas Feed In Consolation through the Round of 16
Singles A & B Draw - Feed In Consolation through the Round of 16. Players who lose in the Quarterfinal Round will be placed into their own consolation bracket of four players and the winner of this bracket receives fifth place points. Play-off for the 3rd and 4th place. All 14s-18s Main Draws will play a full third set. All Consolation Draws and all 12s draws will play a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set. Doubles A & B Draw - 8 game Pro-Sets with single elimination.

The December Super Champ Major Zone Information
Singles: A draw of 16, B draw of 16. Doubles: A draw of 16 teams, B draws of 16 teams. Minimum of 8 players/teams needed for each draw when making splits. The A & B draw singles begins on Saturday and ends on Sunday. The A & B draw doubles begins on Saturday and ends on Sunday.

Draw Posting
Only first match times and site locations will be posted on the Tuesday prior to the start of the tournament. Draws will be posted on the Thursday prior to the start of the tournament at 6pm. Due to A draw players receiving higher sectional and /or national points for these tournaments, players will be moved from the B draw to the A draw to replace A draw withdrawals based on "Friend at Court" regulations. Tournament Directors will make draw changes due to withdrawals until the prior Thursday at noon. Final draws will be published on the prior Thursday at 6:00pm. All players are responsible for re-checking their draw after Thursday at 6:00pm to make sure their time and location have not changed.

Awards
First, Second and Third Place medals will be awarded. Consolation winners no longer receive medals. A sportsmanship award is given to the outstanding boy and girl in each designated tournament.

Out of Section Players are eligible for the December Super Champ Major Zone.

Scoring Format
All 12's and all consolation matches play 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point match tie breaker in lieu of a 3rd set
All 14's, 16's & 18's main draw play 2 out of 3 full sets
Doubles plays an 8 game pro set, tie breaker at 7 all

Tournament Event Fees are Non-Refundable/Transferrable.

Draws are now posted
We do our best to notify players about changes to their match time due to withdraws. We kindly ask that you help us and please recheck your draw late Friday night and/or early Saturday morning in case of overnight withdraws.

Withdraws
All withdraws must be done via email to tournaments@dta.org. Please include the draw name or division the player is in.

NBC 5 DFW forecast states that our weather pattern will remain "tranquil" through the weekend. Should that change please know that we will react to the weather not the forecast. Any weather issues will be posted here.

Tournament Phone
The tournament phone will be activated on Friday, December 1st, no earlier than 3 PM. The number is 214-532-4910. Text or email is preferred and will be replied to much quicker than a voice mail. Email is available anytime at tournaments@dta.org ALL withdraws must be done by email. Please include the draw name when withdrawing.

800 W. Campbell Rd, Richardson, TX 75080 is school address. Best way to the tennis courts is to continue on Campbell, past the main entrance, to Waterview Pkwy (Traffic Light). Turn Right on Waterview Pkwy and go 0.1 miles to Loop Rd/Tatum St (NO Traffic Light, sign, easy to miss) Turn Right on Loop Rd and go 0.2 miles to Parking Lot (Loop Rd ends where the parking lot begins) Park on the Left (North) side of the parking lot.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.

USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament

Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
