First match times for singles and doubles are posted above under Tournament Reports. Be sure to read both LOCATION AND TIME. These have been updated for players entering for withdrawn players.

REGISTRATION
All registration into the tournament will begin on (February 24) Friday at 2:00pm until 8:00pm at the main site John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Registration on Saturday opens at 7:00am until at JDS. You must be registered in the tournament with your medical release form before you can go on court.

DOUBLES WEBSITE CLOSED
ALL doubles information, competitors, draws, etc will be found on the SINGLES website.

DOUBLES DEADLINE
We will not accept any other new doubles teams after !0 am Tuesday. The only exception will be if an entered player loses his partner due to a withdrawal. Any teams requesting entry cannot affect the posted seeding.

Review and look at the alternate list, it will be updated as needed.

BIRTH CERTIFICATE

EXTRA TIME NEEDED before your Next Match?
You MUST see the Referee to request extra time immediately after your match. In a best of 3 set match, you may request up to 2 hours recovery time. In a best of 2 with a match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set, you may request up to 1 hour recovery time.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
Friday: 2 rounds of Doubles (starting at 5 pm) Saturday: 1 rd Doubles, 2 rds Main Draw, 1 rd of Consolation Sunday: 2 rds Main Draw, 2 rds Consolation, 1 rd Doubles (SF) Monday: Finals of Doubles, SF and F Main Draw, 3/4 Playoff, SF and F of 5/6 Playoff, 2 rds Consolation (thru QF) There will NOT be a Silver Consolation for losers in Rd of 16.

UPDATE SELECTIONS AND ELIGIBILTY
Selection(EXCEPT JUNE SOUTHERN CLOSED
EVENTS)USTA Southern will provide selection list. Players will be
selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in
which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on
their lower age division standings.
ELIGIBILITY
This
event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent
Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation
III.A.2a.

DOUBLES INFORMATION
A player must sign up in doubles the same age division they are signed up to play singles.

PRACTICE COURTS
We don't have much outside courts for practice due to the college's are playing there school matches. The courts at JDS will open at 6:30am each day, will open at Tattnall and Stratford at 7:00 am Saturday and Sunday.

DOUBLES SELECTION AND SEEDING CRITERIA
(You must play Doubles in the division you have been selected for Singles)
1. Both players have been selected in singles 2. One player has been selected into the singles and is partnered with an alternate 3. Both players are alternates 4. One player has been selected into the singles and is partnered with no singles entry 5. Alternate and no singles entry 6. Neither are entered in singles
Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined standing, the tie shall be broken by using the highest singles standing of the four players.

SIGNING UP FOR 2 DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for, will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alternate list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Counting Points Up
Counting Points Up effective
Jan. 1, 2017
Beginning January 1, 2017, the
singles and doubles results for each player earned in a division for the
previous 12-month period shall be counted as results in the next-older division
at 20%. As such, players will no longer be considered for selection based on
their lower age division standings. A description of this new amendment

The draw size is 64 in singles and 32 in doubles.

SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA
Starting Jan 1, we are using ONLY the STA Standings for seeding purposes Seedings shall be prepared by the Southern Office at the time they prepare the selection list.

SCORING AND FORMATS
All Doubles: 8 game pro set, 7 pt tiebreak at 8-all, Reg scoring. BG12: Singles - Main and Consolations will play a match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set; Regular scoring. BG14: Singles - Main will play Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets; Consolation will play a match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set, Regular scoring.

HOW TO WITHDRAW FROM THE TOURNAMENT
Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline: Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes. Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal. DO NOT call to withdraw. The email is maconten@bellsouth.net. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. Refunds will only be given with proper documentation and valid excuse and may take 6 weeks to process. There are No refunds after 2/17/15 Withdrawing during the tournament: You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament OR a visit with the onsite trainer will suffice.

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 12, 2017 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
