Preliminary Doubles Seeds Posted
I leave the doubles draw open for registration until Monday, May 1st at the Player Party. I'll make the draw that night and doubles play starts Tuesday in the afternoon. If a potential seeded team forms between now and then I'll meet with the seeded teams and discuss changes. I would like to hear feedback on who you think is on the bubble at the #5 seed.
SINGLES DRAW POSTED
Please check your day and time you play. Really tight scheduling. I can't change anything unless there is a major error. Singles in the morning and doubles in the afternoon. Singles and Doubles main draw finals are scheduled for Saturday, May 6th. Consolation singles and doubles schedules out to Sunday May 7th. There may be adjustments to the consolation scheduling based on who all plays and player availability. My goal is to speed up rounds and finish by Saturday if possible. Please be flexible and I'll try not to schedule four matches in one day (both singles and doubles) if possible.
Singles and Doubles Dates
First Round Singles starts Monday, May 1st regardless of draw size.
Seeded Players are not guaranteed a bye. It depends on the size of the
draw. Main draw Singles Final (with a 64 player draw) has historically
been scheduled for Saturday, May 6th. Singles consolation has been
scheduled for Sunday, May 7th. If consolation finalist agree to play
the semifinals and finals on the same day then we can finish the
consolation draw by Saturday, May 6th. Please be available to play
the entire dates of the tournament. Doubles starts Tuesday, May 2nd . I
leave the doubles draw open for teams to form until the player party,
Monday night, May 1st.

Preliminary singles seeds posted
There are 53 singles players registered and we determined that 12 seeds will suffice. The top four seeds are 1, 2, 3, 4 the next four are #5 seeds and the next four are all 9 seeds. We use the all factors method in seeding using the current standing list, head to head comparisons, age up results, recent performance, prior performance at the national indoors,surface and our best judgement. You will be given two days ending Thursday, April 20th at 6:00 pm MST to respond to the seeding. Please be prepared to state your case. The National USTA seeder, referee and myself have thoroughly researched results and have come to our best conclusions. We welcome your feedback. SINGLES DRAW MADE
Players - The head referee and I created the singles draw on Sunday. The seeding committee came to consensus and seeds were set. Thanks to all the players who provided feedback on preliminary seeds and thank you USTA National seeder is your recommendation. Now let's see how close we are. I'm currently working on the scheduling and will have the draws posted to TennisLink by Tuesday, April 25th.

points, More play. We start the tournament Monday, May 1st and
finish Saturday, May 6th. We may go into Sunday, May 7th depending
on draw size and consolation scheduling. Check with me before you

ITF Sanction - Grade 2 Closed National Championship This tournament is sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) as a closed national championship. Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members.
The Coman tiebreak will be used.
For Adult & Senior National Rankings:
This tournament will calculate as a Category I (10x).
Champions will receive 1000 points.
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, April 17, 2017 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
