The player party will take place Sunday afternoon during doubles play. There will be yard games and a rep from Wilson will be here with prizes and games as well.


Pizza will arrive at 4:30 pm for the players.

Draws are posted and the singles schedule is out through Monday.

Reminder that Seeded players do not start play until Sunday. Doubles play will start Sunday afternoon, not before 2 pm.

Check in will be available at the Cary Tennis Park throughout the event. There is NOT a mandatory check in at the Cary Tennis Park.


MEDICAL RELEASE WAIVER - Bring your medical release waiver to the site of your first match and turn it in when you check in for play. That means if your first match is not at the Cary Tennis Park, you can go directly to your site with your waiver and play your match. Then, you can check in at the Cary Tennis Park at your leisure to get your player packet.

Onsite alternates should sign in at the Cary Tennis Park on Saturday 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of play. Alternates may sign in and leave a contact number. They may leave the site but must be within 10 minute proximity to play when notified. Additional time consideration will be given for matches located at an alternate site.


Onsite alternates will be in the same order as the alternate list.

All Singles Play for 12s is 2 out 3 sets with a 10 pt tiebreak for the 3rd set.

Players have been selected. If your credit card information did not go through we will contact you about payment. You do not need to call or email.


Players that are endorsed but did not make the selection will be put on the Alternate list. If you do not wish to remain on the alternate list please email the director.

Hi Parents this is an update that the seeds will be posted at noon on Wednesday.

USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. Players are not allowed on the court without this release. more info

Doubles registration starts on Tuesday, June 6th.

Up to four (4) Wild Cards will be approved for the boys and girls 12 – 18 divisions. A player may apply for a Wild Card for whatever reason; injury, illness, or personal circumstance. Please remember, there are only up to four Wild Cards given per division, and no guarantees all four will be used. The Wild Card applications will have to be submitted before 5:00 PM EST, the morning after the registration deadline. In 2017, that will be Monday, June 5th. The applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of the USTA Southern Player Development Director, Chairman of Southern Junior Competition Committee, the tournament director, and one Junior Competition Committee members (selected by the Chairman).

The Draw format is a 256 draw with Block Seeding and a Feed in Consolation through the quarterfinals. 160 players will be accepted. Playoff for 1-6th place.

This weekend warm-up courts will be available at the match sites until matches start at 8:30 am. Annie Jones Park and R.S. Dunham Park will have courts available to the public and can be used for warm-ups throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. Please keep in mind there is no guarantee a court will be available at these sites as they are first come, first serve and Town of Cary Teaching staff will be using courts 2 and 3 at Dunham Park.


The parks listed above are the approved warm-up sites. Please do not trespass on any private or neighborhood courts that are not open to the public.

In order to make it easier and more efficient for players, we have set up another tournament ID and homepage just for doubles entries.
Entries for doubles will open on Tuesday, June 6th, and the deadline for doubles entries is Saturday, June 10th at 1pm Eastern time. The tournament will not partner players for doubles. All players are responsible for finding his or her own partner. Players must sign up on the doubles tournament homepage before the doubles deadline. BOTH PARTNERS MUST SIGN UP ONLINE BEFORE THE DOUBLES DEADLINE. more info

All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US Citizenship. Green Cards will be accepted. Passports are not accepted. To verify you are on the list, click here. more info

Any players who register late for the Southern Closed event will be charged a late entry fee of $25.

There are two address above for Middle Creek School Park, depending on what device you use for navigation.Middle Creek School Park is at least 25-30 minutes from the Tennis Park. Please allow plenty of time to get to that site. It is located off of Westlake Rd. just past Middle Creek Park Ave.
