Notes
Important Information
Matches will start at 6pm Friday and 4pm Saturday, may go onto
Sundays depending on court space. IF you have have time conflicts
you MUST EMAIL Tournament Director Rob Lehner
tournament@wickertree.com by Wednesday of tournament week. All
conflicts will be considered but they cannot be promised. If you
have conflicts for the first day of matches do not register for the
tournament. Please email Rob if you have questions that is the best
mode of communication.
Check In
Please check in 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. Be
ready to go on the court, ready to play. Remember when you check in
the tournament director is assuming you are ready to go on court at
that time. Matches go on court in the order of arrival of both
players. If both participants are early and a court becomes
available, those checked in first, go on first. There will be a 10
minute warmup. If players split sets you have a 3 minute break
before players begin the third set ten point super tiebreaker. If
players don't know how to play the super tiebreaker they can raise
their rackets and ask the tournament director.
Player Selection
All applicants will be considered. We will take a full 32 players
in each age division. Rankings and seedings are done through the
USTA Tournament software. Draws will be posted on the Wednesday of
the tournament. If you are worried about players from the same
program playing against one another please email Rob Lehner. It is
hard for each club to know where and what program players are in so
any help in that is much appreciated. We will try our best but in
local tournaments players will play one another at some point
during the tournament.
Withdrawals and Refunds
NO REFUNDS ONCE THE DRAW HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND PUBLISHED ONLINE.
You may withdraw before registration for the tournament closes. You
just need your confirmation number from your registration and your
USTA number. Go to the tournament home page and follow the
directions for withdrawal. You must do this only before the
deadline. Once registration closes online and the draw has been
done, you may only withdraw due to illness, injury or family
emergency. NO REFUNDS ONCE THE DRAW HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND
PUBLISHED ONLINE.
Wickertree Tournament Policy
We ask that all spectators sit at least one court away from the
perspective court of the player they come to watch. This is to
avoid issues of coaching or communication with spectators which is
illegal according to USTA rules. This should allow players to
concentrate on why they are there while developing the
responsibility of being your own line judge and manager. If players
have conflicts on court PLAYERS must ask for a line judge to help
mediate.
