DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. WE APPRECIATE ALL THE PATIENCE FROM PLAYERS AND PARENTS AS EVERY EFFORT WAS MADE TO COMPLETE THE EVENT, HOWEVER DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL WE WERE FORCED TO MAKE THIS DECISION. DEADLINE FOR NOTIFICATION
PLAYERS SELECTED INTO MULTIPLE CONCURRENT EVENTS MUST NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS BY TUESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2017 AS TO WHICH EVENT THEY WILL COMPETE IN. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN SUSPENSION POINTS.

ENTRY AND SELECTION PROCESS
Selection: Players are accepted into a USTA National Level 3 Tournament using the most recently published National Standings List as of the date entries close.
Alternates: Alternates are ordered using the same National Standings List used to select players into the tournament. Players with no National Standing are ordered after players with standing by random drawing. Late entries are placed on the bottom of the alternate list in the order received. Late entries received at the same time are ordered randomly.

All matches will be held at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex, 14469 W. Paradise Lane, Surprise, AZ 85374

PRACTICE COURTS:
BEFORE: Practice courts available on Friday, January 20 at no cost to players. Call 623.222.2400 to reserve court. Courts are booked on one hour sessions to accommodate all players.
DURING: A minimum of six courts will be available throughout the tournament at no cost to players. Players must sign up for courts at tournament desk and may be required to share courts if necessary.

FORMAT OF PLAY
SINGLES MAIN DRAW: Best of three tie-break sets, regular scoring. Full third set
SINGLES CONSOLATION: Best of three tie-break sets with a 10-point tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set. Feed-in consolation draw (through the Round of 16). Quarter-final losers will be fed into a separate consolation draw to play for 5th and 6th place. Semi-final losers will play for 3rd and 4th place.
DOUBLES: Best of three tie-break sets, no-ad scoring with a 10-point tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set. First match losers consolation.

DAY ONE: Two Main Draw Singles, One Consolation Singles, One Doubles
DAY TWO: Two Main Draw Singles, Two Consolation Singles, Q-Con Playoff, Two Doubles (MD and Consolation)
DAY THREE: Finals and 3/4 Playoff (MD), Two Consolation Singles, Q-Con Final, Doubles (MD and Consolation Final)

DOUBLES
All players are automatically entered into doubles. Players may email their name along with their selected partner to guillermo.lucero@surpriseaz.gov. Please make sure you receive a confirmation email. If you do not have a partner, you must email and request to be paired randomly. ALL DOUBLES DRAWS WILL BE MADE ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 21 AT 1:00 PM.. DEADLINE FOR DOUBLES IS SATURDAY JANUARY 21 AT 12 NOON.
There will be first match losers consolation in doubles and a Playoff for 3rd/4th Place.

TOURNAMENT BALL
All matches will be played with Wilson US Open Extra Duty tennis balls.
