*** WEATHER *** Thursday Matches *** THREE HOUR DELAY ***
THREE HOUR DELAY **** THREE HOUR DELAY **** Thursday Matches scheduled online for 9 AM will begin at NOON, matches scheduled online for 10:30 will begin at 1:30 PM, etc. This will give us extra time to clear the courts of debris caused by the storms last night and get them ready for play.
|
*** WEATHER *** WEATHER ***
Due to the storms last night and the traffic difficulties, the three hour delay will hopefully allow more roads to open and traffic to resume flowing smoothly. We apologize for the delay, but it appears the shies and weather will clear up late morning and hopefully allow us to finish on Thursday.
Matches scheduled later in the day - once the matches get rolling, please arrive a little early. The match flow tends to quicken as the day goes on, so keep that in mind. We put matches on in order of both players arriving and checking in. When both players are on site, and there is an open court, even if it is a half hour early, you are going on. FIRST MATCHES CHECKED IN, ARE FIRST MATCHES ON.
|
*** HEAT *** HEAT *** *** FLUIDS *** TOWELS *** FLUIDS *** TOWELS ***
HEAT - PLEASE BE PREPARED.....This is a summer tournament, so bring lots of water or sports drink and towels with you. We believe the rule of action is to have a gallon of fluids with you on court per match. Parents - that is A GALLON PER MATCH !!! We suggest you buy a gallon jug, or 2, with one for back up, and keep them full of ice and ready to hand to your players during changeovers, at a moments notice. Bring your own towels with you, 2 to 4 or more, when it is hot players can sweat profusely. The tournament does not supply towels, you are responsible.
|
ONLINE & SMARTPHONE TOURNAMENT INFO

That way all players can check the progress of others, who their opponents will be, next match times, etc. Download the free USTA app from the Apple or Android stores on your phone or tablet so you can keep up with the action and results from anywhere.

GENERAL SCHEDULE
We will begin play each day at 9 AM. We will begin the tournament on Monday morning and attempt to finish the tournament in four days, five at the most. We hope to be done Thursday, but definitely will be finished by early afternoon on Friday so many players can leave and get on the road for the MIDWEST CLOSED tournaments in Indy and Michigan.
