INCLMENT WEATHER UPDATE - 3:30pm
Based on the fact that our courts are still very wet and there is more rain on the way from Rock Hill, we are cancelling the rest of the tournament after consulting with NC Tennis. We tried everything we could to complete the tournament. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope everyone has a great holiday season!
|
INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATE - 3:00pm
We have had more rain and all courts are under water, but the sun just came out. Therefore we are adjusting the schedule as follows:
Play will begin again at 4pm at EACH SITE. All matches that were on court should be at their site at 4pm. All other matches for Semifinals, Consolation Quarterfinals and Extra Draw Semifinals should be at their site at 4:30pm. We will try to play all finals at 6:00pm at their respective sites.
All Extra Draws Finals, Consolation Semifinals and 3/4th Playoff Matches for all divisions have been cancelled unless you were on the court when the rain-delay began. All 11 & Under Green Boys & Girls Consolation Finals have been cancelled as well.
IF we experience any more rain, then the rest of the tournament will be cancelled.
We will post one more update at 3:45pm if anything changes.

CORRECTION to Boys 14s
Please note that USTA/Southern had to reconfigure the seeding list for the Boys 14 singles draws due to an oversight in the seeding process. This changed the seeding and the waterfall process for the Boys 14s draw. As a result, the new seeds are published and players have now been placed in the correct Red and White Draws respectively.

ALTERNATES INFORMATION
An Alternates By Event Report will be generated each day and published to the website. All players listed on the alternates list may elect to play another tournament, but they MUST send an email to the tournament director to withdraw from this event first. Until Thursday at midnight if there are withdrawals, we will place the next person on the Alternates By Event Report into the draw in the order listed without notifying the alternate placed into the draw. It is your responsibility to check the draw to see that you were placed into the draw. For any withdrawals after Thursday at midnight, we will contact the next person on the Alternates By Event Report and give them one hour to respond back to our email and or phone call. At that time we will go to the next person on the Alternates By Event list. Please ensure that we have your correct email address or phone number.
Anyone wishing to be an On-Site Alternate must check in at the appropriate match site 30 minutes prior to the first match time for the appropriate age division and ensure they are listed as an On-Site Alternate with the Site Referee. ENTRY VIOLATIONS
Entering two tournaments at the same time is a violation of the USTA rules in the USTA Southern Section, and players may be assessed five (5) junior suspension points for violation of this rule. In "Friend at Court," USTA Tournament Regulation 1 N. 11 & 12 states: 11. "A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments are scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing." 12. "A player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament. A player shall not enter a tournament with the intention of withdrawing if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament, unless the Tournament Committee for the tournament in which the player has entered understands the situation and concurs with the contemplated action."
