Rain Delay this Morning - (Updated on Sunday at 9:48 AM)
Update #4 (Updated at 9:48 AM) - Hi Everyone, So the courts are in pretty wet shape, so to be safe and pushing all start times at 11:30 AM, I again updated the doubles draws, so they'll be updated. So the times you currently see is the time you should play doubles. Haven't done singles yet but will during doubles play, so be patient. So everyone come to Brookview 15-20 minutes before 11:30 AM to check in for doubles, we should be ready to play by 11:30 AM as I feel will give the courts enough time to dry and have staffing on court making sure that they'll be dry. I ask when checking in that you check in yourself and not you and your doubles partner, as I have to know who's currently there and will help me get doubles matches out faster.
10 and Unders ONLY - Start at 11:30 AM at Wesley Park, meet there at 11:30 AM and not Brookview location. The draws you see online aren't updated but have the draw sheets that Jason Prochnow will be assisting.
Update #3 (Updated at 9:00 AM) - Hi everyone looks like the rain has finally stopped and waiting for things to dry up here. I'm either thinking a tentative start time at 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM, I have adjusted the doubles schedule times for the draws as they would be if we started at 10:30 AM, if we do end up starting at 11:00 AM you would then look at the draw times and add 30 minutes to that and that would be the draw times if we started at 11:00 AM. I have yet not changed the singles draw times, as I will change when we're playing doubles. So keep in mind to check when doubles is almost completed. We'll probably start around 2:00 PM for singles to give you an idea if we start at 10:30 AM, 11:00 start for today we will start singles play probably around 2:30 PM to give you an idea. Please check update back at 9:45 AM for another update as to whether we'll be starting at 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM. Check below for game plan as for scoring for today to get everything in due to today's rain:
As for scoring formats for today to squeeze everything in and get everyones matches played I'm having doubles play a set which is 6 games, and a 7 point tiebreaker will start at 6-6 and no ad scoring. For singles I'm having everyone play an 8 game proset with no ad scoring and tie breaker starting at 8-8.
Update #2 (Updated at 7:40 AM) - Hi Everyone, looks like 80% chance of rain at 8 AM and looking to stop raining by 9 AM, the courts will need between 1-2 hours to dry, I'll be managing the courts to make sure and get a better idea when they'll be playable. As for now, tentatively it's looking like a 10:30-11 AM start, but I'll keep you posted by the hour, so please check back at 9:00 AM for further update.
Update #1 (Posted at 6:28 AM) It's looking like we're going to get rain this morning, it's showing 85% chance of rain until 8 AM and 45% at 9 so stay tuned and get some a little rest this morning as we're going to post pone play. As for now, we have to wait and see when it stops and give a couple hours to see when it things will dry up. So I'm asking everyone to check back to look on the website tournament message page at 8:00 AM for further details.
