ALL PLAYERS that want to play doubles, MUST sign up for doubles by 6pm on Thursday, July 21. NO EXCEPTIONS. If both of you did not sign up online, you must email me with your partners' name. RAIN
This is an OUTDOOR EVENT. In the event of rain, and we must go indoors to complete the event on time, the charge will be $10 per player per singles match and $5 per player per doubles match. DURING THE TOURNAMENT, IF IT IS RAINING IN THE MORNING, CHECK THE TOURNAMENT WEBPAGE OR CALL 513-771-2835 TO GET UPDATED INFORMATION.

TOURNAMENT HOTELS are very difficult to find for Friday and Saturday night...
The Jazz Festival is in Cincinnati this weekend (Friday and Saturday night) and we are looking for available rooms for tournament players. We will put more info on this site if we are able to find any hotels with available rooms. The Ramada Plaza Cincinnati North, right across from Queen City Racquet Club on Chester Rd has rooms available for Sunday and Monday night only. The hotel has 237 beautifully equipped rooms, including executive and presidential suites. Business center, on-site full service restaurant and bar. Queen City Tournament guests will get a rate of $79 which includes free breakfast and free passes to the Cincinnati Splash Waterpark on Sunday. PRACTICE/WARM-UPCOURTS
Practice/Warm-up Courts will be available at both the High School and Junior High prior to 8am each day, as well as after matches are complete in the evening.

ORDER OF PLAY
SATURDAY:
Play begins at 8am. Main Draw will play Rd of 128 and Rd of 64 singles
as well a round of FIC . Doubles to follow - 2 rounds.
SUNDAY: Play begins at 8am. Main Draw will
play Rd of 32 and Rd of 16. FIC will play up to 3 rounds. 1 or 2 rounds of Doubles to follow.
MONDAY: Play begins at 8am. Main Draw will
play Quarters and Semi-Finals. FIC will play 2 rounds. Doubles to follow
TUESDAY: Play begins at 8am. Main Draw will play the Finals and
3/4 Playoff. FIC will play the quarters and semis.

Main draw and consolation singles matches will be the best of three tiebreak sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set. The main draw will feed in to the consolation through the quarterfinals. There will be a 3/4 place playoff and the consolation will stop after the semifinal round. Doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets and will have a 3/4 playoff.

RECOVERY RULE
Recovery
Rule: Extended length of rest between singles matches in Junior, Adult, Senior,
NTRP and Wheelchair Divisions. In all singles matches in Junior, Adult, Senior,
NTRP, and Wheelchair Divisions in which the match format is two out of three
standard tiebreak sets or more, a rest period of two hours shall be offered by
the Referee before the player’s next singles match. This Rule does not apply to
short set matches and matches that play a tiebreak in lieu of a final third
set, nor to any match played indoors where the duration of the match is less
than 120 minutes.

SCORING
Main draw and consolation singles matches will be the best of three tiebreak sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set. Doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets and will have a 3/4 playoff.. A player will be entitled to a three minute
break after splitting sets and before playing the Matchtiebreak in singles.

TROPHIES
The trophies that will be
distributed are as follows: Champion,
Finalist, Third & Fourth Place for Main Draw Singles and Doubles, four
Semi-Finalist FIC & Midwest Sportsmanship Winner.

SEEDED PLAYER WITHDRAWS AFTER START TIMES ARE POSTED
The
Tournament Director is not required to re-seed the draw if a withdrawal occurs
after Friday at 12 noon before the tournament begins. The Alternate may be inserted on the draw
line where the seed withdrew and no match times are affected for the remaining
players. If the Tournament Director
would like to re-seed the draw and change start times after the Friday, 12 noon
deadline, he/she may. It is not required.

USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SUSPENSION POINTSYSTEM AND SIGNING UP FOR TWO TOURNAMENTS
Signing
up for two events: All players will be
given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments that take
place at the same time, in whole or in part, for Midwest Elevated Events OR if
signing up for a Level 5 Local District Event, unless you have emailed both Tournament
Directors for permission to do so. This
applies to all players who signed up for the MW Elevated tournament(s)
including alternates and is a general USTA rule for all events.

If
you don't provide an email address and/or cell number(s) when you register for
this tournament, we will be unable to notify you about any possible changes in
the tournament.

USTA/MIDWESTSECTION DOMICILE RULES:
The
USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district qualifiers, the
USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Junior
Davis & Wightman Cup events are open to citizens of the U.S., permanent
resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals
who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who
can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who
have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and who are members
of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have
been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
