BG (14-12) Format & Schedule
SINGLES FORMAT: Main draw with first-match losers’ consolation (FMLC). USTA short scoring is used in Florida Level 6 singles tournaments: best 2-of-3 sets with "match tie-break" (first to 10 points, lead by at least 2) in lieu of a third set. A "set tie-break" (first to at least 7 leading by at least 2 points) is played if either of the first two sets reaches 6-games-all. We will try to complete this tournament on Sunday, if possible. But Monday play remains a distinct possibility. Finalists in 32-draws must be prepared to play on Monday at 11 AM.

Seeding
Seeding was done using the July 21 Florida Standing List for the appropriate age group. PLEASE NOTE: 10-under players are not ranked and so there is no seeding of 10-under events.

BG10s Organization
In consultation with USTA Florida Competitive Tennis Administrative Assistant Adelaide Wood, it was decided to
organize both Boys (13 entrants) and Girls (12 entrants) 10-Under events into three
round-robin preliminaries.
B10s will have one group of 5 and two groups of 4. G10s will
have three groups of 4. Players were
chosen by lot for group assignment, with one draw group request honored in
B10s.
(NOTE: There is no seeding in 10-under events.) Preliminaries will be completed on Saturday if possible. The
three round-robin winners in each event will then compete in a round-robin
play-off on Sunday to determine first and second place. USTA/"Friend at Court" round-robin
guidelines will be used to determine placement.
