DOUBLES INFORMATION (Doubles deadline extended, format of play, where and how to sign up for doubles before and after singles deadline)
Doubles play will begin on Friday afternoon at 5pm with two rounds. Format is an 8-game pro set, 7 point tie breaker at 8-all.
We do NOT partner players. It is the players responsibility to find a partner and confirm the partnership. If this happens before the singles deadline, then register on-line. THE DOUBLES DEADLINE WILL EXTEND PAST THE SINGLES DEADLINE TO TUESDAY, MARCH 29 AT NOON . IF YOU FIND YOUR PARTNER AFTER THE SINGLES DEADLINE, YOU MUST EMAIL chipstearns@hotmail.com WITH THE PAIRING. DO NOT TRY TO DO IT ON-LINE AFTER THE SINGLES DEADLINE. IT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO DO THAT. The doubles sign-up for this tournament is on the same site as the singles. WE WILL HAVE A CHECK-IN AT YOUR DOUBLES SITE ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON FROM 4:45-7:00 PM. IT WILL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE SO IT'S FINE TO CHECK IN BEFORE YOUR FIRST DOUBLES MATCH. ALL OTHERS WHO ARE ONLY PLAYING SINGLES WHO WANT TO CHECK IN ON FRIDAY NIGHT NEED TO CHECK IN AT REBSAMEN.

YOU MUST PLAY THE SAME DIVISION IN SINGLES AND DOUBLES
Per Southern Tennis Assoication Rules: You MUST play the same division in DOUBLES that you designated to play in SINGLES. PLEASE sign-up accordingly. Players signing up for TWO (2) singles divisions, PLEASE keep a close eye on your doubles status after the competitor list comes out. Thank you for your understanding!

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division NO changes can be made.

TOURNAMENT SITES
The tournament will be held at two primary sites: Rebsamen Tennis Center - 1501 Leisure Place, Little Rock, AR 72204 Burns Park Tennis Center - 4000 Joe Poch Road, North Little Rock, AR 72118 There may be some doubles played at Otter Creek Racquet Club in case of emergency.

FORMAT AND SCORING
64 Draw in Singles with Full Feed In through the end of play on Monday (this is a change from 2014). All Main Draw Singles matches will be best of three tie-break sets (new balls provided for the third set). Main draw Singles matches will play 2 rounds on Saturday, 2 rounds Sunday, Semifinals and Finals on Monday.
All Consolation matches will be two tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak (10 Points) played at 1 set all. Consolation matches play one round on Saturday, three rounds on Sunday. Consolation matches will now finish on Monday.
Doubles will consist of a 32 single elimination draw. An eight game pro set will be played with a 7 point tie break at 8 all. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place in both singles and doubles.

WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURES
Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline: Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes. Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal. DO NOT call to withdraw. The email is chipstearns@hotmail.com. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS PAST 3/25/15. Refunds will only be given with proper documentation and valid excuse and may take up to 6 weeks to process. See procedures below for receiving a refund. Defaulting during the tournament: You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament OR a visit with the onsite trainer will suffice.

NO REFUNDS AFTER FRIDAY, MARCH 25
If you withdraw before March 25, 2016 you will receive a refund. If you withdraw after March 25, 2016 there are no refunds.
Per STA Requirements "An entry fee refund is not required for anyone withdrawing within seven days of the start date."

REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES
If you withdraw before registration closes, your credit card will not be charged. If you withdraw after registration closes, you may be eligible for refund if you withdraw by 3/25/16. A player shall not withdraw from a tournament after entries close except for illness, injury, or personal emergency. A withdrawing player shall immediately notify the tournament by email that the player will not be playing. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. If the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall provide a written explanation of the situation to the referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. The referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal emergency. FYI - a personal emergency does not include "my parents can't get off work" or "I have too much homework" or "I can't miss school". In order to receive a refund, you must notify the tournament immediately of your withdrawal, no later than Friday 3/25/16. Then, YOU MUST MAIL IN A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE with your written medical excuse or emergency explanation. You must also include the exact "Payee" name the check is payable to. This must be received by the last day of the tournament which is 4/4/16. You will receive suspension points if you do not have a documented medical excuse or a written explanation of a personal emergency. Our best advice to you, is make sure you assess your means of travel and schedules before registration closes. Thank you for your cooperation.

USTA SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA
In an effort to provide greater transparency and understanding of how USTA Southern seeds will be determined for USTA Southern L 1, 1A and 2 events, FAC (Friend at Court) method II.A.4.b., which provides for a computerized system of rankings or standings. The Junior Competition Committee approved the chart that the Tournament Seeding Committees, with assistance from the USTA Southern staff, shall utilize to determine seedings. Lower level USTA Southern L 3, 4 & 5 events and State events below USTA Southern L 1-2 events, may choose between FAC seeding methods II.A.4.a., which provides for an All Factors Method, or II.A.4.b., which provides for a computerized system of rankings or standings and shall be published. Criteria to be considered: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division, Players with a current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings. When calculating 12U seeds, the 10U standings are not considered. Revised: June 5, 2015
Seedings shall be prepared by the Southern Office at the time they prepare the selection list.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 20, 2016 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
