We are happy to announce that all Southern 16's participants will not have to pay an entry fee AND each player will be entitled to his/her first two nights hotel for free! Please note in order to redeem your free rooms, you must stay at the tournament's designated hotels. You will receive a voucher for your free rooms at the tournament check-in.

HE ASLO HAS BEEN A COACH AT THE DIVISION 3 LEVEL. DAVID REDDING IS THE COACH OF DIVISION 2 HARDING UNIVERSITY'S MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TEAMS. WHILE THE FORUM IS GOING ON, THE KIDS WILL BE HAVING A PING PONG TOURNAMENT IN THE PLAYER TENT AT THEIR PLAYER PARTY. SOLINCO IS SPONSORING THE TOURNAMENT. WE WILL ALSO BE SERVING PIZZA AT THE PARTY!

Let's see who's the best of the best in a little game of ping pong! All tennis players think they're great at ping pong so who's going to show us how it's done?!
We will have a tournament in the player tent during the player party on Sunday night. Party starts at 5:30. First 128 kids (boys and girls together) get to play for the title!

Up to four (4) Wild Cards will be approved for the boys and girls 12 – 18 divisions. A player may apply for a Wild Card for whatever reason; injury, illness, or personal circumstance. Please remember, there are only up to four Wild Cards given per division, and no guarantees all four will be used.
The Wild Card applications will have to be submitted before 9:00 AM EST, the morning after the registration deadline. In 2016, that will be Monday, June 6th. The applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of the USTA Southern Player Development Director, USTA Southern Junior Competition Director, the tournament director, and two Junior Competition Committee members (selected by the Chairman).

THE THIRD HOTEL WILL BE THE MARRIOTT COURTYARD (501-227-6000).

IF YOU NEED AN INDIVIDUAL WARM-UP, PLEASE CALL RAUL BERMUDEZ AT 501-766-1119. HE WILL GET YOU SIGNED UP WITH EITHER HIMSELF OR ONE OF HIS ASSISTANTS. INDIVIDUAL WARM-UP COST IS $25 PER HALF HOUR. RAUL WILL LET YOU KNOW WHERE THE WARM-UP WILL BE. IT WILL DEPEND ON YOUR REQUESTED TIME.

Singles: Boys' and Girls' singles 192 (THIS IS NEW) draw with Feed-in championship through quarterfinals and playoff matches for 3/4 places. Play in the FIC is mandatory. Semifinal losers in the main draw are required to play the 3/4 playoff match. The Singles official draw will be made Tuesday, June 7. The draw will be posted online at noon, Friday, June 10.
Doubles: Boys' and Girls' doubles will be single elimination with a 3/4 playoff.
NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRAW WILL BE GIVEN BY PHONE.

All applicants NOT admitted to the main draw shall be listed in order, to be moved into the main draw if/when spaces become available. * The order will be based on Southern Standings.
* To find out the order go to the Alternates lists in the Reports Section at the top of the Important Info page. Alternate lists will be posted as soon as possible and updated often thereafter.
* If you are an alternate from your state and are NOT admitted on June 6 or thereafter, you may do any or all of the following:
1) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Saturday, June 11 for any of the 128 unseeded positions
2) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Sunday, June 12 for the 32 seeded players.
*** If you are an alternate, please make sure the tournament has accurate contact information so that you may be contacted when needed.

The following heat policy will be implemented:
When players are scheduled to play 2 singles matches in one day, they will be offered a rest period equal to the length of their first match (up to 3 hours). They will be offered a minimum of 2 hours rest regardless of first match length. This rest period guideline does not apply to doubles.

In matches playing a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set there will be a 3-minute coaching break between the end of the second set and the match-deciding tiebreak. This 3-minute break is treated the same as the 2-minute set break between first and second sets, except that players may receive coaching on the court. Players may not leave the court. unless requesting a toilet break. The toilet break will be taken after the 3-minute coaching break. No coaching is allowed during the toilet break for either player.

* On-site alternates must arrive at the site where your division is being played prior to matches being played for which you want to be considered. * You must sign the ordered alternate sheet and remain at that site.
If a vacancy occurs, the highest ranked "signed-in" alternate will be admitted.
* Once the on-site alternate is paged, he/she will have 4 minutes to report.
* If he/she takes longer than 4 minutes to report, he/she will be bypassed until a subsequent vacancy occurs.

Players may not use electronic devises on court that are designed for communication (cell phones, etc.) or data storage/display (pocket notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc.). Use of these devices will result in immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. (A device that is in the "ON" mode constitutes use.) Notes and printed materials brought on court for reference with a player are permitted.

Draws will posted online at noon, Friday, June 10.

* Courtesy Check-in for everyone: Friday 2:00 - 7:00 PM at the Crowne Plaza.
* Players whose travel arrangements will not allow them to make the Friday check-in need to check in at least an hour before their first match on Saturday.
* The tournament Check-in desk will be open at 7:30 AM Saturday at Rebsamen Tennis Center for those that do not make check-in on Friday.
* On-site alternates may check in on Friday, but must sign the On-site Alternate Roster on Saturday morning to be considered for entry.
* Singles play begins: Saturday, June 13 at 8:30 AM at all sites.
* Doubles Deadline: Friday night, June 12 at 11:59 PM.

We will be using the Wilson US Open ball for all matches.

Saturday - Tuesday
Burns Park Tennis Center has three outdoor courts that will not be used for the tournament and are designated as warm-up courts for the entire tournament. These courts are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Burns Park also indoor courts. These courts must be reserved. The Burns indoor court phone number is 501-791-8585. These courts will be available all week.

Saturday - Tuesday
Pleasant Valley Country Club - 3 Pleasant Valley Dr, Little Rock, AR 72212
The PV courts are first come, first serve. These are closer to Rebsamen and Otter Creek.

Tuesday - Friday
Burns Park Tennis Center
We will not be using Burns Park for play after Monday so all courts will be available for warm-up there on Tuesday onward.
