Check in will be available at the Cary Tennis Park throughout the event. There is not a mandatory check in at the Cary Tennis Park.
MEDICAL RELEASE WAIVER-Bring your medical release waiver to the site of your first match and turn it in when you check in for play. That means if your first match is not at the Cary Tennis Park, you can go directly to your site with your waiver and play your match. Then, you can check in at the Cary Tennis Park at your leisure to get your player packet.

USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. Players are not allowed on the court without this release. more info

Bill Ozaki from the Southern office will be on site Friday afternoon and Saturday to answer any questions about Zonals or Nationals.

Up to four (4) Wild Cards will be approved for the boys and girls 12 – 18 divisions. A player may apply for a Wild Card for whatever reason; injury, illness, or personal circumstance. Please remember, there are only up to four Wild Cards given per division, and no guarantees all four will be used.
The Wild Card applications will have to be submitted before 9:00 AM EST, the morning after the registration deadline. In 2016, that will be Monday, June 6th. The applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of the USTA Southern Player Development Director, Chairman of Southern Junior Competition Committee, the tournament director, and one Junior Competition Committee members (selected by the Chairman).

The Draw format is a 256 draw with Block Seeding and a Feed in Consolation through the quarterfinals. 160 players will be accepted. Playoff for 1-6th place.

The Tennis Park is about to undergo a $5.2 million covered court expansion project. Construction on the seven covered courts is set to begin the week of June 6, 2016, and is expected to take eleven months to complete. There will be some disruptions during construction (noise, dust, etc.) however, tournaments, events and league play will all continue as scheduled.
Please be patient with us and pardon our dust during construction!

All Singles Play for 12s is 2 out 3 sets with a 10 pt tiebreak for the 3rd set.

Onsite alternates should sign in at the Cary Tennis Park on Saturday 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of play. Alternates may sign in and leave a contact number. They may leave the site but must within proximity to play when notified. Additional time consideration will be given for matches located at an alternate site.

Any players who register late for the Southern Closed event will be charged a late entry fee of $25.

Middle Creek School Park is at least 25-30 minutes from the Tennis Park. Please allow plenty of time to get to that site. It is located off of Westlake Rd. just past Middle Creek Park Ave.
