WHAT ARE THE BG 14'S AND 16'S INTERSECTIONALS?
The Intersectionals (BG14s & 16s) are the highest level of team competition in the U.S. and have been designated as Level 1 National Ranking Tournaments. These National Team Championships are singles and doubles, non-elimination, round robin team events designed to introduce players to national competition in which players get to compete alongside fellow Middle States players against teams from the other sections.
The BG14s and 16s Intersectional Team Championships (Intersectionals) are team matches played on clay between teams from the 17 Sections of the USTA. The dates of the event are July 4th thru July 8th, 2015. USTA Middle States will send one (1) BG14s team, one (1) BG16s team, and one (1) coach for each team.The 14s team will have 3 boys and 3 girls and the 16s team will have 4 boys and 4 girls.
REGISTRATION: This is the online registration site for the USTA Middle States Intersectional Teams for B/G 14s and B/G 18s. Registration opens on March 20, 2015.Registration for the event will close on June 1, 2015 at midnight and no late entries will be accepted. Players may not participate in both Zonals and Intersectionals. If registered for both events, Middle States will assume that it is the player's preference to play Intersectionals, and if selected for Intersectionals, the player will be removed from the Zone Team selection list. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED ONCE THE PLAYER HAS BEEN SELECTED.
PLAYER INFO: Each player will receive a team uniform and will be accompanied by a USTA MS coach and have a great week of tennis!

LOCATIONS AND DATES
Intersectionals will be held July 4th to July 8th, 2015.
The 14s Intersectionals will be held at Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Facility (clay) - Auburn, AL (3 Boys and 3 Girls will be selected)
The 16s Intersectionals will be held at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club - Shreveport, LA (4 Boys and 4 Girls will be selected)

14s TEAM TRAVEL INFORMATION and EVENT SCHEDULE
All travel and hotel expenses are the responsibility of the player. Tournament Site: Yarbrough Tennis Center, Auburn University, Auburn, AL Tournament Schedule: Arrival Date - Friday,, July 3rd, 2015 (In AM) Player Registration: July 3rd - 3 to 5:00pm Yarbrough Tennis Center Team Competition: July 4th through July 8th. Play begins at 7:30 AM on Saturday, July 4th. Team photos will be taken on Sunday evening July 5th starting at 6 pm. Awards Banquet is Wednesday, July 8th at 6:00 pm. Departure Date: Thursday, July 9th

16s TEAM TRAVEL & HOUSING INFORMATION
Airfare expenses are the responsibility of the player.
Mandatory housing is provided for all 16s team players and coach at USTA Middle States expense. Parents are not encouraged to attend. As in the past, we will be housing the players with host families from the Pierremont Oaks Club starting late afternoon on Friday July 3rd. In addition, all the boys will be housed together with a host family and all the girls will be housed together with a host family. If any parent is planning to attend, please contact Mike Kennedy for information.
All players are expected to arrive in the morning Shreveport, LA on Friday, July 3rd (arrive no later than 2 pm) Tournament Site: Pierremont Oaks Club, Shreveport, LA Tournament Schedule: Arrival Date -Friday, July 3rd no later than 2:00 pm. USTA Middle States representatives will meet players at the airport (between approximately 10 am to 2 pm). Team Competition: July 4th through July 8th.. Departure Date: Please make arrangements to depart early in the morning on Thursday, July 9th from Shreveport, LA

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Monday, June 1, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
