Email Update Sent!
If you didn't receive the email below, please contact Teresa at teresalemair@aol.com
There is 100% chance of rain this Saturday, and the forecast has changed from "light rain" to "rain" so we do not anticipate being able to get any matches in (even if it stops mid day, the courts will not dry in time). As this is a two-weekend tournament, we have decided to go ahead and start on Sunday March 15th. So, NO matches this Saturday March 14th.
Draws will now go up this evening (Thursday).
A few more details:
1. There is one Mens Open Doubles team that would like to play this weekend. If anyone would like to play doubles, please let me know asap. Anyone is welcome to participate - meaning, for example, if there are some B16 and/or B18 (even younger if you wish) that would like to play, you are welcome - you'll get points in the Mens Open category (it's great practice for highschool tennis!). You can pay for the doubles on site this weekend. If you know who your partner will be (please make sure they know ;), please let me know who it is - it does not have to be someone already playing singles in this tournament; if you want to be paired up, please let me know; or, if you are interested in participating with a certain player but don't have their contact information, please let me know and I will forward your contact information to them so they can contact you to discuss.
2. Boys 10's will be played on Sunday. 10U District Greens are one-day events, so we will be finished this Sunday (barring any crazy weather change). I am aware that many of you are playing in the Section Green next weekend.
3. Girls 10's will be played next Saturday, March 21. This will also be a one-day event.
4. Consolations for all 12-18 events will be played next weekend.
5. We strongly recommend everyone sign up for our text message tournament updates! There is a chance that the courts will still be wet on Sunday morning and we might have to delay, or there might be rain next weekend. Text DLTENNIS to 84483 to receive Tournaments alerts from David LeMair Tennis.

Tournament matches will be played as long as outdoor temperatures are at
least 40 degrees (considering windchill) each day, long enough to get the tournament played (for at least a few hours each day). It does not have to be 40 degrees in order to start matches, but overall 40 degrees that day. If matches
cannot be played/completed on the first weekend (because of weather or number of players entered), the following weekend will be
used. Please be sure that players are available BOTH weekends.
Refunds/credits will not be issued if play cannot occur on the first
weekend and player is not available on the second weekend. If weather
is bad both weekends, players will be issued a credit for a future outdoor David
LeMair Tennis Tournament in 2018 (more than 20 to choose from).
