WE ARE ALLOWED TO START DOUBLES IN LEVEL 3'S ON FRIDAY NIGHT IN 2015!
Due to the addition of extra matches created by the new 11 year old division, Level 3 tournaments that hold doubles events will be allowed to start doubles on Friday night. We will start our doubles at 5:00 at all facilities. Please allow extra time to get to your facility since that will be during Friday rush hour traffic and Little Rock tends to be very congested at these times. Thanks for your understanding.

THE COMPETITOR LIST AND ORDERED ALTERNATE LIST ARE NOW AVAILABLE
The competitor list AND the ordered alternate list are now available above. If you made it into singles, you made it into doubles (if you signed up for doubles). Please check the alternate list often. If you did not make it into singles, you did not make into doubles. There may still be room for the singles alternates in doubles. But, the singles competitors have first right to join doubles before those that didn't make it in. Please keep an eye on this and email chipstearns@hotmail.com with questions regarding doubles alternates.
|
EXTENDED DOUBLES DEADLINE
The doubles deadline will extend to Tuesday, February 24 at noon. This will give those who don't have a partner yet more time to find one. If you do find a partner after the singles deadline, you must email chipstearns@hotmail.com with your partner's name and the division you are playing. Remember that you must play the same doubles division as you are singles. After the doubles deadline has passed, all those that are signed up for doubles without a partner will be randomly placed with the others that do not have partners. In case of an odd number, we will pick partners on a random draw. The odd player out will not play unless an additional player is found within a couple hours. Thank you for your understanding!

SELECTION PROCESS/TWO DRAWS OF 16 FOR EACH GROUP
The top 32 players applying from each age group will be selected by the Southern Section office, from the latest USTA/Southern standing list -- 28 players from the age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group that have a top 40 standing and are not in the selected 28. Each group of 32 players selected from each age group will be divided into two draws of 16 each. We will be using the waterfall system to make sure each of the two 16 draws are balanced by strength. If there are less than 24 players for a division, there will be one draw for that division.
