Thank you to all parents, players, and coaches for coming to our tournament this year. Congratulations to all of our winners today in all age groups! I hope everyone enjoyed their time in Kiawah/Charleston. Thank you to Mike Kiser and the Seabrook Island Racquet Club and Peggy Bohne at The Charleston Tennis Center for allowing us to use their facilities. We ask that you take time to fill out the tournament survey so we can improve our event or recognize anyone for something good. Draws are now posted. You may go directly to your first match site if you do not owe entry fee money. You must pay any fees owed prior to your first match. If you owe entry fees for singles or doubles please call (843)768-2838 to give a credit card over the phone. If you are an alternate and plan to be on site as an on site alternate you must be on site when the first match time for that age group is scheduled.

The singles will start and Saturday and all singles start times will be posted Thursday by 12:00 NOON.

SITES: 14'S -18'S
We are using THREE sites for the 14's -18's during the tournament. It is your responsibility to be on time for your matches. Directions to all sites will be provided at the Roy Barth Tennis Center. You can go straight to your first match site if you bring your MEDICAL RELEASE to that site. You may also fax the medical release to (843)768-6092(843)768-6092. Please come to RBTC to register either Friday 2pm - 6:30pm or Saturday 6:30am - 5pm. The three match sites are:

PRACTICE COURTS -Kiawah Island
Players are able to warm up prior to the first match of the day at each site. We start at 7:45am at all sites. There are also two hard courts at WEST BEACH that are first come first serve Saturday and Sunday. Hard courts may be available at RBTC as well after 12pm both days and are first come first serve.

We will be playing all 12 and under GREEN ball matches at Porter Gaud School. It will show as (PORT) on the draws. The address is 300 Albemarle Rd., Charleston, SC 29407 (6 courts) The courts are behind the football stadium.

Players are able to warm up prior to the first match of the day on Friday at the Charleston Tennis Center. We will start at 5pm Friday.

REGISTRATION (14's - 18's)
Registration will be open from 2pm-6:30pm at The Roy Barth Tennis Center(RBTC). Registration will open Friday at 1pm and Saturday at 6:45am at the Roy Barth Tennis Center for the day. If you have paid all fees for the tournament you MAY GO STRAIGHT TO YOUR SITE FOR YOUR FIRST MATCH. You will still need to fill out a medical release and turn it in to the site you are playing before you play. Please fill it out in advance to save time. If you show up exactly when your match is scheduled and need to fill out your medical release you will be considered late for your match because you are not ready to play. You can come by RBTC on Saturday to pick up your player gift, etc... PRACTICE COURTS will be available on a first come first serve basis starting Friday at 1pm. We will have to close the clay courts for watering by 7pm. We have hard courts available as well.

REGISTRATION (12 and under GREEN BALL)
You will register and check in for all matches Porter Gaud School tennis courts. Please bring your medical release to your first match. All unpaid fees (doubles, etc...) must be paid before play.

REGISTRATION (10'S AND 12'S YELLOW BALL)
You will register and check in for all matches at the Chaleston Tennis Center. Please bring your medical release to your first match. All unpaid fees (doubles, etc...) must be paid before play.

10 and under scoring
All 10 and under singles will play 2 short sets.. That means if your score is 4-3 in a set you play another game. At 4-4 you play a 7 point tiebreak win by 2 to decide the set. If you score is 5-3 your set is done. At 1 short set all a 7 point deciding match tiebreak will be used. Doubles will play a 6 game set. At 6 games all a 7 point tiebreak will be used to decide the match.

TOURNAMENT APPEALS COMMITTEE
The tournament appeals committee consists of Jonathan Barth, Dick Bailey, and David Boyd. Any defaults that are given may be appealed immediately to the tournament appeals committee.

MATCH PLAY FORMAT (12'S -18'S)
All maindraw singles matches (12's -18's) will be 2 sets. At one set all a 10 point match tiebreaker will be used to decide the match. For 14-18 finals and play off match you will play best of 3 tiebreak sets. 12s will not play a 3rd set . All consolation singles matches (12's -18's) will be 2 sets. At one set all a 10 point match tiebreaker will be used to decide the match. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place in the main draw. Doubles for 12-18 will use an 8-game pro set and is single elimination.

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS AT THE SAME TIME
If you are registered for two tournaments at the same time you WILL RECEIVE SUPSENSION POINTS. The only way to register for two tournaments is to have permission from BOTH tournament directors from the tournaments you want to enter. My email address is jonathan_barth@kiawahresort.com. By entering these tournaments at the same time you are creating more work for one of the tournaments when it is not necessary. Thank you for your understanding.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION RATES AVAILABLE
Special accommodation rates are available in one, two, or three bedroom scenic villas. One bedroom villas are $165/night, two bedroom villas are $199/night, and three bedroom villas are $219/night. Rates are based on availability of villas and are subject to a 12.5% tax and a 9% resort fee. Call reservations at 800-654-2924 and ask for the Junior Tennis Tournament (booking # 13115)villa rate.

FIRST MATCH TIMES (14'S-18'S)
Play will begin on Friday at 5:00pm with doubles. We will play one round of doubles Friday evening.

New Event For 11 and Under Boys and Girls
The Southern Junior Competition Committee has created a new event to help players transition from the Orange Ball in the 10's to the Yellow ball in the 12 and under Championship events. There will be a limited draw (8 players each) for 11 and under Boys and Girls. The playing format will be the same as the Championship 12 but these events will use Green Dot Balls. To Sign up use the 12 & Under Green CRITERIA FOR 11 AND UNDER STA LEVEL 3 EVENTS: - 1.January 1 to September 1 is a “grace period” where players have the opportunity to play green ball or yellow to try to reach a 12 & Under standing of 300. - 2. After September 1, all 11 & under players will be required to play green ball to reach the benchmark of 300 . - 3.Once a player reaches the 300, they are out of the green ball play. (they will still be eligible for their State’s 12 and Under green if they do not feel comfortable with the yellow ball) . - 4.The point tables being used for 11 & Under points is a bit different (fewer points) to be posted soon. . - 5.One player from the top 20 of the 10’s will be included in the draw of eight .

11 and under draws
We will offer two draws of 8 players for boys and girls 11 and under for this tournament. That will mean a total of 16 players will be accepted in each event for 11 and under green.

Doubles Partners-PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***
If you would like to play doubles and need a partner, we will be working on pairing players up AFTER the deadline AS WELL BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I will post your name, email, and phone number as looking for a partner so players can contact you prior to the deadline. We will also pair players up after the deadline for those that didnt find partners before the deadline.

Selection Process
Because this is a Level 3 STA Event the following Selection Process is being used: Top 32 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest standings list. For Boys and Girls 12-18: 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. Alternates are listed in the report section. Do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page after competitors have been listed. (That list is not updated). Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They are removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates' lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates' list. They would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates' list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made

Registering For Two Age Divisions

Seeding Criteria
USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments. SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. (Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start).

Late Entries
Late entries may be accepted or a new player may be substituted into the draw if the Tournament Committee determines that the ability of a new player does not invalidate the seeding. Please note that "Late Entries" will be placed at the bottom of the Alternates List. Please E-Mail the Tournament Referee:

Alternates
The alternates by Event Report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot come. It is the alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status changes and as a result you are selected to play in the tournament. You should make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile. The tournament will not be responsible for a player not selected in the event the tournament cannot contact him/her due to incorrect or outdated contact information. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately.

Sportsmanship Responsibilities: All parents are encouraged complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
