Player selection will be done based on the following criteria:
1 – Four (4) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower division.
2 – 52 players from the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of the event.
3 - 8 players selected using UTR

The Singles Main Draw will play best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets and Consolation will play regular scoring in best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10-point super tiebreak in lieu of a third set. The Consolation round stops at the semi-finals.

Warm Up Courts will be available to book one week before on a first come first serve bases on Friday Evening at Court One Athletic Club East Facility, 2291 Research Circle, Okemos, Mi 48864. 517-349-1199. The courts can be booked in a 1/2 hour increment to allow other players access to courts. You must pre-pay for your court to reserve it as it will be @13.50 per 1/2 hour. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning Court One will only have courts available to reserve once again in 1/2 hour increment from 7 am -8 am and then the tournament will take all the courts starting at 8am.
Michigan State Indoor Tennis Facility, 3571 E Mt. Hope Rd, Lansing, Mi 48910 (517)-355-2209 will also have courts available on a first come first serve bases on Friday, 7am - 6pm; Saturday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; Sunday, 8:30 am - 9:00 pm, and Monday 8am on. You must pre-pay for your court to be reserved. Price is $28.00 per hour at the Michigan State Indoor tennis facility and you can only book 3 days in advance at the MSU Indoor Facility.

The W/L times are in parentheses. Players from the same district will not play each other first round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw is from the same district.

Saturday: 2 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles
Sunday: 2 rounds of main draw and 3 rounds of consolation singles
Monday: 2 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles

If you do not provide an email address and/or cell number(s) when you register for this tournament, then we will not be able to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.

Trophies will be given to the following players: Champion, Finalist, 3rd & 4th place, and FIC Semi-Finalists. In addition, a Sportsmanship trophy will be awarded.

The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis and Wightman Cup events are open to citizens of the US, permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
