Draws and match times and locations: Draws will be posted on September 1.
Once the draws are posted, players will have to click on the draws and find the appropriate draw and division that they have entered. Find your name on the first line and notice the time and the abbreviation next to the time. This represents the location. Make note of the time and then go back to the front page of the tournament and find the listing of sites that match the abbreviation. Click on more info and it will populate a map to the site.
It is recommended that players re-check
their match time on Friday evening for any potential changes due to
withdrawals. The tournament does our best to notify players via email
about withdrawals. It is also a good idea to print a copy of your
draw and a map to the location. Some draws will change location from
Sat to Sun. Remember that the website times are the official times
and any time given from the site that is different should be received
in writing or witnessed written on the draw.
|
Players who need to withdraw, and Saturday and Sunday withdrawals:
All other pre tournament withdrawals
should email the TD and provide a reason for the withdrawal.
If you need to withdraw from the
tournament on Saturday or Sunday, please call the site Director and then email your
withdrawal to the Tournament Director. The site directors phone
numbers will be listed on Saturday for your convenience if you have questions
about match times or locations. As a reminder, some match locations
will change from Saturday to Sunday so print you maps and pay
attention to the match abbreviation next to your times. Have a great
tournament!

Warm up courts. Most sites will beopen one hour before the 8am matches but no less than 30 minutes:
Players other than the 8am matches are
recommended to use tennismaps.com to locate local tennis courts for
warm up. There are several tournaments being held this weekend in Dallas,
so practice courts at tennis centers and high schools will be
difficult. Use local park courts.
|
First Off Consolation:
We will be using the first off method for consolation. It is imperative for players who lose their first match to report back to the tournament desk to obtain their consolation time. We will be updating the draws thru out the day but these times are best received from the tournament site which you are playing. Players will be placed into consolation based on the order that they finish their first match.
|
Check In at the Site:
Players are ask to check in each round,
30 minutes prior to your match. Also, make sure and sign in on the
yellow pad with your cell contact number so the site personnel can
contact you if necessary.
|
Driving distance between sites:
Some sites may be 30 minutes apart, so
plan accordingly. If you are coming from the North West of Dallas,
allow additional time if you are using Hwy 635.
|
Weather Updates:
If we experience and delays due to
weather,we will post up on the site and give a time as to the next
update. Currently we do not expect any delays.
|
Water Ice and other equipment:
Players should come prepared with
sufficient water and ice for their matches. We will provide some but
it is always a good idea to be prepared. Some of the tennis
facilities may be able to string rackets, but it is best to have your
rackets strung prior to the tournament and have a back up as well.
|
Reminder for parents and coaches:
Coaching is not allowed unless there is
a break between the second and third set. This is generally a 3
minute timed break and players are ask to stay close by the court
during this time. If players are not back on the court at the end of
3 minutes and ready to play, point penalties will apply. Coaches and
parents are ask not to address other players, coaches or parents
during a match. If a problem occurs, only the players can ask the
assistance of the roving officials.

10 & Under – USTA Texas regulations mandate that all junior sanctioned tournaments offer 10 & Under Orange Ball Division (orange ball, 60 foot court and 25 inch racquet) and 10 & Under Green Ball Division (green ball, 78 foot court and 27 inch racquet). For the full 10 & under regulation, please visit our website www.texas.usta.com, click on 10 & Under Tennis.
|
First-off Consolation – All Challengers and CMZs use the First Off Consolation Format. This format will show as Single Elimination on the tournament homepage, but all players are guaranteed two matches. This format eliminates “maybe matches” and almost every player in consolation will play their first consolation match on Saturday. How does it work? Players that lose in the main draw will be fed into the consolation draw in the order that they come off the court (i.e. the first player to come off the court will go on line one, the sixth player to come off the court will go on line six). This new format ensures more players playing on Saturday and an overall better tournament.
|
Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system.
|
