Notes
THERE WILL BE NO SUNDAY PLAY DURING THIS TOURNAMENT or ON
OCTOBER 31st - HALLOWEEN. Boy's and Girl's 10's Divisions will be
played on 60' Courts with orange low compression balls. 10's
matches will be best of 3 short sets, no-ad scoring, with a 7-point
tiebreak played in lieu of the 3rd set. Boy's and Girl's 12's
Challenger Divisions will be played on 78' (full size)Courts with
green low compression balls. CHALLENGER DEFINITION: A challenger is
a novice player who has not won an open tournament. A junior may
continue to participate in challenger events, in their age
appropriate division, until they have won no more than two (2)
Challenger tournaments. After two (2) Challenger tournament wins, a
junior is no longer eligible for a challenger event until they age
up. A player may not play out of his/her age division in a
challenger event until the month in which the junior ages up.
Challenger events do not earn Points Per Round. Additional
important information: Because this is an indoor tournament,
scoring will be NO-ADD in the interest of time. We have also
decided not to play any matches on Oct 31st to avoid a rescheduling
nightmare, so have a "spooktacular" evening! See you at the
tournament! Due to the unpredictability of match outcomes, we are
unable to take match time avoidance requests beyond the first day
of the tournament. Avoidance requests must be made with the
Tournament Director prior to the draws being made. RESCHEDULING
POLICY - Finals may NOT be rescheduled! There will be NO
RESCHEDULING of matches except in extreme circumstances beyond the
control of the players and then only with prior approval of the
Tournament Director. Players rescheduling without permission will
be DEFAULTED! All costs of rescheduling are the responsibility of
the initiator. Players are under NO obligation to reschedule when
asked by an opponent.
