Waterfall System
All North Carolina Level 3 Tournaments will adopt the “waterfall system”. Draws are limited to 32 players. Taking cost and school day factors into account, this allows tournaments to be completed in just two days and provides players with the opportunity to earn more ranking points. Each division that has 24 or more players will be split into two separate draws. Players will then be "waterfalled" into two balanced draws based on the selection lists in the following order: Red: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. White: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31. Selections will be made using the most up to date NC Standings. Seeds will be determined using NCTA Seeding Criteria after the waterfall is done. The format is FIC (Feed-In Consolation).
