MS STATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS NEW ALBANY - MSL3=LEVEL 3, STAL4

Overall I think we had a great weekend for a big tournament all packed into 2 days!
We played 257 matches!
We stayed ahead of schedule the majority of the time. Thank you to all the players & parents! I will have to say I saw allot of great talent this weekend & did not code many for unsportsmanlike conduct and\or racquet abuse! We learn new things every tournament we host & I look forward to all comments in order to make our events more successful & better each time. I honestly care and implement your opinions & feedback. I strive for excellence & make notes of all comments\suggestions. Without feedback we cannot improve. Please email, text, or call me with suggestions &\or comments.
Last year we had many requests for doubles so we did add doubles! Also a request to play all matches at 1 site for an entire instead of traveling back & forth. We also had requests for large trophies so we made sure to pay extra & give all the players larger trophies! That is just a couple suggestions we implemented.

We will have a HIGH PERFORMANCE WARMUP CLINIC FRIDAY 7:00-8:00 BUT WE CAN ONLY TAKE THE FIRST 18 PLAYERS! EMAIL ME IF YOU WANT A SPOT & YOU WILL GET A CONFIRMATION. Start times! We will only start some draws & events Friday afternoon. Only the 8s & 10s will play Friday. Everyone else will be Saturday morning. You must email us the earliest time you will be able to start on Friday for 8s & 10s in order for us to accommodate start time! Subject line must be "TIME REQUEST" Very important that the subject line says time request so we can link it into a folder & into the database! This must be in by Tuesday night midnight! Draws will be posted online by Thursday 1:00pmbut hopefully Wednesday night.

Warm up courts in New Albany: Address: 315 Golden Gate Ave. 38652 From courts turn right onto Bankhead St. go 0.6 miles turn right onto S. Central Ave, Take the second left onto Apple St. Take the second right onto Golden Gate Ave. 4 courts located at the Middle School. --- Satellite Courts in Tupelo will be used but this year players will not have to travel back & forth! If they are scheduled in Tupelo they will not have to drive back! It will be coded on the draws for location. Billy Gip Clark will be the referee for the Tupelo site.

Singles will be a 16 draw. If more than 16 enter then we will do two 16 draws. We will do regular scoring best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 pt tiebreaker instead of 3rd set. We will also have feed in consolation & playoffs for 3rd & 4th. 8s & 10s will be 4 game sets with no-ad scoring. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & Consolation Winner. Doubles Scoring will be 8 game pro set & if we have time we will have a consolation for doubles! Doubles awards or medals to 1st, 2nd, & Consolation winners for Doubles. WE WILL TRY TO GET EVERYONE AS MANY MATCHES AS POSSIBLE!

Any division with more than 16 players will be divided into 2 color coded groups equally.
This will allow all players to finish the draw & get more points.

Red, Blue, White, Yellow, etc
The color does not determine if one is better than the other.
Seeding will be made after the players have been split. Players will be seeded according to the STA directions.
