TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 32 DRAW SINGLES AND INCLUDE A FEED-IN
CONSOLATION
Main Draw and Consolation will play a Matchtiebreak (Supertiebreak)
in lieu of the third set, with up to three singles matches a day in
the FIC. Main Draw will finish and FIC will stop at the
Finals.
ORDER OF PLAY
Saturday - Main Draw will play the Rd of 32, Rd of 16, and Quarters
and the FIC will play the Qualifying Rd of 16, and the Round of
16.
Sunday - Main Draw will play the Semi-Finals, Finals, and 3/4
Playoff. FIC will play the Qualifying Quarters, the Quarters, and
the Semi-Finals. FIC does not finish and stops at the Finals.

SUNDAY , NOVEMBER 2nd BY 6 PM
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SEEDING & SELECTION CRITERIA
All USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere
to the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee. Players will be
selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing
List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be
selected by the following 1. Four (4) players from the top 100 of
the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower
division (except in the boys and girls 12s divisions where 2
players will be selected) 2. 28 players from the most current
USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of
the event (except in the boys and girls 12s division where 30
players will be accepted) Remaining vacancies and/or alternates
will be selected from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the
division of the event. Alternates will be numbered with this
Midwest Standings List. Seeding will be done based on the
USTA/Midwest Section Standing List the following week.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTIONS SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM AND SIGNING UP FOR
TWO TOURNAMENTS.
Signing up for two events: The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension
Point System is in effect. You are expected to play the entire
event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition
Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point System. All players
will be given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more
tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part,
unless each Tournament Committee involved agrees with the multiple
entries in writing via e-mail. This applies to all players who
signed up for the tournament including alternates.
SCORING
All Main Draw and Consolation matches will play a Matchtiebreak (or
Supertiebreak - first to 10 points/win by two ) in lieu of the
third set with advantage scoring on all matches. Some players may
be playing up to three singles matches in a day. A player will be
entitled to a three minute break after splitting sets in singles
and before playing the Matchtiebreak
PRACTICE/WARM-UP COURTS
Riverside Athletic Club will have practice courts available Friday
evening. You can also use the club early morning Saturday and
Sunday.
Forest Hills Sportsplex will have practice courts available
Saturday and Sunday while the tournament is being run.
Cost for practice court is $24 an hour, $12 for a half hour.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5th AFTER 6 PM.

time (in parenthesis). Please be careful when reading these times.
Players from the same district will not play each other first round
unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw is from
the same district.

NUMBERS AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide
contact information to tournament directors unless the customer
provides the contact information during the registration process.
Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled
from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the
online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to
privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or
telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will
be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the
tournament.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION DOMICILE RULES:
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district
qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis & Wightman Cup events are
open to citizens of the U.S., permanent resident aliens in
possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are
applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and
who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form
I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than
one year and who are members of families of persons in the
diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted
Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
DRAWS WILL BE POSTED FRIDAY EVENING BEFORE THE START OF THE
TOURNAMENT.
NO REFUNDS AFTER PLAYER SELECTION IS COMPLETE

At the end of our event it would be very helpful to us to better
serve you, if you could fill out a Midwest Evaluation Form that is
online using this link.
