Level 5 Challenger Information
This tournament serves as a Level 5 tournament form Southwest Rankings and Endorsement. Level 5 events no longer count in the USTA National rankings. It also serves as a qualifier for the Level 4 Cactus Cup in February. .Qualifying is as follows: For a 32 draw the four semifinalists, QCONS winner, consolation winner; 16 draw - Finalists and consolation winner; 8 draw - Champion and consolation winner.

10 And Under Division
This tournament will have 10 and under orange and green ball divisions. Players must have graduated from 10 and under orange to play the green ball division.

Match Formats
12s
- 18s: Best 2 out of 3 sets regular scoring. The 7 pt tie breaker will be used
in all sets tied 6 – 6. There will be a modified feed-in backdraw; draw size
will be 32.
10s Orange Ball: 2 Short Sets, (first to 4 and win by 2, or tiebreak at 4 all), 3rd Set if
needed 7 point tiebreak. Regular scoring.
10s Green Ball: Best 2 out of 3 sets regular scoring. The 7 pt tie breaker will be used
in all sets tied 6 – 6
Co-ed 8s: Format is 36' court/red ball. Two out of three 7 point sets. The 8
and under age group will play modified scoring (two out of three 7 points sets,
sudden death at 6-6) on 36’ courts with red low compression balls. Racquets
must be 21-23.”
Doubles: Eight game Pro Set with a tiebreaker at 8 all.

DOUBLES PARTNERS
You may email me your name and your doubles partner's name.
Only email me, mitchell@southwest.usta.com, CONFIRMED doubles pairings (you and your
partner agree to play together).
If you enter online and do not put in your doubles partner's USTA# it WILL NOT
match you up. Please help in making the doubles matchups a smooth process. You
are only guaranteed to play doubles if you sign up with a partner (and they do
not withdraw).

USTA Southwest Dress Code
All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire.
Cut off shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts & tights (alone), or any
other attire that is simply recreational and not tennis oriented is not
acceptable.

ELIGIBILITY
This tournament is open only to permanent residents of the
USTA Southwest Section. Permanent residency is defined by the parent or legal
guardian living within the section for 184 days per year. Additionally, the
player must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a USTA membership card with a USTA
Southwest Section designation.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Friday, January 3, 2014 11:59:00 PM Arizona Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
