DIRECTIONS
From Myrtle Beach, travel south on Hwy 17 S towards
Georgetown. Turn Right onto Gilman Road (look for Moe's restaurant on your right)
¼ miles past the Litchfield Beach stop light (this is the third light once you
get past Brook Green Gardens.) Drive to
the end of Gilman. You’ve arrived!
From Georgetown, travel north on Hwy 17 N towards Myrtle
Beach. 1/2 mile past the MLK road stoplight
in Pawley’s Island, make a left towards the Dollar General. Then take immediate left onto the frontage
road as if you are going to Moe's restaurant. Go 100 yards and make a right hand
turn onto Gilman Road. Drive to the end of Gilman. You’ve arrived!

All 8's and 10's must have the appropriate racket size!!
Maximum sizes. 23" for 8's and 25" for 10's. USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED. We will have loaner rackets available if needed.

8 and under information
Boys and Girls 8 and under will use the 8 and under format
with 36 ft courts and red low compression balls. Players must use a 23” racket. 25” and up will not be allowed. No doubles.
Players will play the best of 3 sets with the first to win 7 points
winning the set.

10 and under information
Boys and Girls 10 and under will use the 10 and under format
with 60 ft courts and orange low compression balls. Players must use a 23-25” racket. 26” and up will not be allowed. Kids will play the best of 3 sets with the
first to win 4 games winning a set. You
must win by 2 games. If the score is 4
all, a 7 point tiebreaker is played (must win by 2 points). If players split sets, a 7 point tiebreaker
is played for the third set.

Match Format Singles
All main draw matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a
match tie breaker in lieu of a third set.
All consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a match tie
breaker in lieu of a third set. First
match losers’ consolation for all events.

Match Format Doubles
Doubles will use an 8 game pro set. You must sign up on line for doubles with
your partner’s USTA number. If you do
not have a partner and would like to play doubles, sign up online for singles,
then e mail David Bromberg at dbromberg@gtcounty.org. Please do NOT wait until the last minute to
ask for help finding a partner!! The
earlier you request, the easier it is to locate somebody.

Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, the referee has the
discretion to change sites and use alternate scoring.

Balls
Dunlop Grand Prix Balls will be used for all regular ball
events. Dunlop green dot, orange, and red
balls will be used.

Awards
Will be given to all winners and finalist in the singles
draws, and for the winners of all doubles draws. Medals will be awarded to all 8 and under participants as well as winners of all consolation draws.

T-shirts
Awarded to all tournament participants.

Boys and Girls 8 and Under
Must be checked in no later than 8:45 am and will be on the courts playing matches starting at 9 am. Request that all 8 and under stay at their site till all their matches are completed.

Boys and Girls 16
Boys and Girls 16 will be playing on Clay courts.
|
GIRLS 12
DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE DRAW AND THE RAIN COMING IN ON SUNDAY THE GIRLS 12 DRAW WILL START ON FRIDAY AT 5 PM.

Friday Matches
The tournament referee and tournament director will do everything to try and have all matches starting Saturday. But should an event get really big, there is a chance that event might have to start on Friday late afternoon/evening. Thanks for your understanding.

South Carolina Tournament Level 4-Challenger: Beginning January 1, 2013, all CHALLENGER tournaments in SC will offer both yellow ball and green ball divisions for 12U play for the purpose of transition from the 10U orange ball. The 12U Green division is designated by "Quick Start: 12U" on the registration page. Play in the 12U green ball division will count toward the player's Current Standings.

All parents are strongly encouraged to view the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in SC L4 or L5 tournaments. In addition, we encourage all parents to view the video, regardless of the level of experience or level of play the player is currently competing.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, November 16, 2014 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
