information I will use to contact you in the event of any last
minute changes due to illness or injury, I suggest you enter a cell
phone number if possible.
64 PLAYER SINGLES DRAW per age division; LEVEL 3 MIDWEST USTA
POINTS PER ROUND -NO NATIONAL POINTS.
TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 64 DRAW FIC SINGLES.
Consolation will play a Match tie break in lieu of the third set,
with up to three singles matches a day in the FIC. Ft draws will
finish Monday, back draw will play to semi-finals..

PRIMARY TOURNAMENT SITE FOR MATCHES
Thomas Cloud Park 4707 Brandt Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45424 (closest
intersecting street is Harshman Road)
Second site- 2 miles away- the new courts at Wayne High High
School. 5400 Chambersburg Road _Huber Heights, OH 45424. The courts
are just behind the Softball field which is visible from the
street.

RAIN SITE: Dayton Center Courts, 4801 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio
45416. (937) 276-3978. Players will be responsible for the indoor
court fees. Singles $10 per person per match. If things move inside
we will record the matches at DCC on DVD. The tennis club cannot be
seen from the street. Mapquest and Yahoomaps are incorrect since
the Trotwood connector went in.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY/START TIMES/MATCH FORMATS
Draws will be available on-line the evening before the tournament
starts. Match times will be posted above left under "Future Match
Info" on the Wednesday before play starts by 6pm. We will post the
start times followed by W:=second match time if they win (or)
L:=second match time if they lose. Play will start no earlier than
8am and if the draws fill ALL players will play 2 matches on
Saturday. 10 minute break in front draw, back draw coaching during
the THREE minute break may be done at the back of the fence. Our
desk staff does not have start times.
AIRPORTS: DAY-Dayton International 12 minutes from hotels and the
club CMH-Columbus aprox. 80 minutes CVG-Cincinnati/Covington aprox.
80 minutes IND-Indianapolis aprox. 120 minutes.
Practice Courts: Most play will be at a public park with some shade
and courts for practice will be free and on a first come first
serve basis, the high school site doesn't have tree shade. (Players
can reserve indoor practice courts, but please wait until First
Match Start times are posted as there are no refunds or changes of
reservations. Let the staff know that you are part of the
tournament and receive a discounted indoor court fee of $13.50 per
half hour or $27 per hour. Indoor practice courts must be paid for
over the phone by using a Visa or Master Card. Private hitting
lessons fees are $33 per 1/2 hour, this fee includes the court
time.)
Things to know: Please fill up your cooler and water jug BEFORE you
come each day. Check-in is 15 minutes before each match except for
8am matches who may check in 10 minutes early. You must have your
shoes on and be ready to go on the court when you check-in. We have
a lot of matches to play and will do our best to keep this event
moving and on time. Please remember that per Friend at Court late
penalties start at match time for all players scheduled for that
time as long as 1 court is available.
Late Entries/Withdrawals: Withdraw by sending an e-mail, subject
line Midwest, withdrawal, player name, and age division. The time
received on the e-mail will be used for documentation. Our reply is
your proof we received the withdrawal. Be sure and read over the
rules to avoid suspension points, There are NO REFUNDS. We will
accept late entries if we don't have sufficient alternates.
ALTERNATES: If you are one of the top 5 alternates in the last 48
hours please e-mail to either 1. Let me know you are no longer
interested in coming or 2. e-mail with a contact number where I can
reach you between the hours of 7am and 10pm. On-site alternates get
a chance to play if there is last minute withdrawal/no show. If you
would like to register as an on-site alternate please e-mail 24
hours in advance to let us know you intend to come and to check and
see what time you need to check-in . An on-site alternate reports
to the tournament desk before the first matches for their division
are scheduled and registers with us. If there is more then one
on-site alternate who registered for the tournament present, you
will be placed in order as per Friend at Court.
Point Penalty System/ Suspension Points: The Point Penalty System
will be enforced for lateness, use of a Deity (God, Jesus, Christ,
etc.), cussing, as well as abuse of racquet, ball, and/or the
facility. Suspension points will be given for unsportsmanlike
conduct, which includes misconduct at the hotel, as well as for no
shows. No grace period or warnings will be given.
MIDWEST USTA RULES/CODE OF CONDUCT
Point Penalty System will be enforced. IF YOU ARE LATE THE POINT
PENALTY SYSTEM WILL BE ENFORCED, THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD.
DRESS CODE: Proper Attire is required. The top and bottom of your
outfit must meet when your arms are at rest. No bare midriffs,
spaghetti straps, tank tops, alcohol or drug words, if it is
objectionable you will have to change before going on the court
which could incur a point penalty for a time violation.
PLAYER SELECTION AND NUMBERED ALTERNATE LIST WILL BE POSTED
MONDAY , BY 6PM
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SEEDING & SELECTION CRITERIA All
USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere to
the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee. Players will be
selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing
List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be
selected by the following 1. 8 players from the top 100 of the most
current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower division
(except in the boys and girls 12s divisions where 2 players will
be selected) 2. 56 players from the most current USTA/ Midwest
Section Standing List in the current age division of the event
(except in the boys and girls 12s division where 30 players will be
accepted) Remaining vacancies and/or alternates will be selected
from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the division of the
event. Alternates will be numbered with this Midwest Standings
List. Seeding will be done based on the USTA/Midwest Section
Standing List the following week.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTIONS SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM AND SIGNING UP FOR
TWO TOURNAMENTS.
Signing up for two events: The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension
Point System is in effect. You are expected to play the entire
event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition
Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point System. All players
will be given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more
tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part,
unless each Tournament Committee involved agrees with the multiple
entries in writing via e-mail. This applies to all players who
signed up for the tournament including alternates.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION DOMICILE RULES:
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district
qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis & Wightman Cup events are
open to citizens of the U.S., permanent resident aliens in
possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are
applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and
who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form
I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than
one year and who are members of families of persons in the
diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted
Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
