WE WILL HAVE A MANDATORY CHECK-IN AT THE CROWNE PLAZA ON FRIDAY NIGHT FROM 4:00 - 8:00 PM. THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL NON-SEEDED PLAYERS.
FOR ALL SEEDED PLAYERS, YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF CHECKING IN ON FRIDAY NIGHT. IF YOU DON'T, THEN YOU WILL CHECK IN AT REBSAMEN TENNIS CENTER ANY TIME ON SATURDAY AT THE TOURNAMENT DESK.

The doubles sign-up began on Monday, June 9. The deadline will be Friday night, June 13 at 11:59 PM.
If you know who your partner is going to be, please enter both players with USTA numbers.
If you don't have a partner but want to play, please sign up by yourself. After the deadline, the tournament referee will put all those players together randomly. Please note that if there is an odd number of players available who need a partner, one person will be left out due to the odd number.
The doubles draws will be posted late on Saturday evening with doubles play beginning after all singles play on Sunday. We will play two rounds for sure on Sunday with a possible third round depending on available time that night before the college forum and player party.

THE KIDS MUST HAVE THEIR PLAYER BADGE TO GAIN ENTRY INTO THE TENT. THERE WILL BE A LIVE VIDEO FEED OF A SHOW COURT, REFRESHMENTS, PING PONG TABLES, LOUGING FURNITURE, AND VIDEO GAMES INSIDE THE TENT.

THE SCORING FORMAT IS AS FOLLOWS:
IF THERE ARE TWO SINGLES MATCHES TO BE PLAYED IN ONE DAY, THE SCORING WILL BE A TIE-BREAK IN LIEU OF A THIRD SET FOR ALL MATCHES (MAIN DRAW AND CONSOLATION SINGLES).
IF THERE IS JUST ONE MATCH SCHEDULED FOR THE DAY, THEN THE SCORING WILL BE A FULL THIRD SET FOR ALL MATCHES (MAIN DRAW AND CONSOLATION),
THIS MEANS FOR SATURDAY, WHERE THERE ARE TWO ROUNDS OF MAIN DRAW, WE WILL USE A THIRD SET TIE-BREAK FOR THOSE MAIN DRAW MATCHES (AS WELL AS THE FIRST ROUND OF CONSOLATION WHICH WILL ALSO BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY).
ON SUNDAY, THERE IS ONLY ONE ROUND SCHEDULED FOR BOTH MAIN DRAW AND CONSOLATION, SO ALL MATCHES (INCLUDING CONSOLATION) WILL BE A FULL THIRD SET.
AFTER SUNDAY, WE WILL BE IN A MORE ROUTINE SCHEDULE IN THAT THERE WILL BE ONE ROUND OF MAIN AND TWO ROUNDS OF CONSOLATION.
DOUBLES WILL REMAIN PRO SETS UNTIL THE FINALS AND 3/4 PLAYOFF AND THOSE MATCHES WILL BE A BEST TWO OF THREE SETS WITH A TIE-BREAK FOR THE THIRD.

Singles: Boys' and Girls' singles 160 draw with Feed-in championship through quarterfinals and playoff matches for 3/4 places. Play in the FIC is mandatory. Semifinal losers in the main draw are required to play the 3/4 playoff match. The Singles official draw will be made Tuesday, June 10. The draw will be posted online at noon, Friday, June 13.
Doubles: Boys' and Girls' doubles will be single elimination with a 3/4 playoff.
NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRAW WILL BE GIVEN BY PHONE.

Thirty-two seeds will be “block seeded” into the third round of the singles tournament and will thus not play until Sunday June 16. Seeding will be done and posted online on Tuesday, June 10th at 5:00 p.m., or later.

The seeds are ordered based on current USTA Southern Standings, using a table to insert players ranked in the lower age group.

Players with high National rankings are inserted in this manner:
* Players with low Southern Standings with National top 50 Standing are placed in 1-4 seeds.
* Players with low Southern Standings with National top 51-100 Standing are placed in the 5-8 seeds
* Players with low Southern Standings with National top 50 Standing in the lower age division should are placed in 9-16 seeds.

All applicants NOT admitted to the main draw shall be listed in order, to be moved into the main draw if/when spaces become available. * The order will be based on Southern Standings.
* To find out the order go to the Alternates lists in the Reports Section at the top of the Important Info page. Alternate lists will be posted as soon as possible and updated often thereafter.
* If you are an alternate from your state and are NOT admitted on June 9 or thereafter, you may do any or all of the following:
1) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Saturday, June 14 for any of the 128 unseeded positions
2) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Sunday, June 15 for the 32 seeded players.
*** If you are an alternate, please make sure the tournament has accurate contact information so that you may be contacted when needed.

The following heat policy will be implemented:
When players are scheduled to play 2 singles matches in one day, they will be offered a rest period equal to the length of their first match (up to 3 hours). They will be offered a minimum of 2 hours rest regardless of first match length. This rest period guideline does not apply to doubles.

In matches playing a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set there will be a 3-minute coaching break between the end of the second set and the match-deciding tiebreak. This 3-minute break is treated the same as the 2-minute set break between first and second sets, except that players may receive coaching on the court. Players may not leave the court. unless requesting a toilet break. The toilet break will be taken after the 3-minute coaching break. No coaching is allowed during the toilet break for either player.

* On-site alternates must arrive at the site where your division is being played prior to matches being played for which you want to be considered. * You must sign the ordered alternate sheet and remain at that site.
If a vacancy occurs, the highest "signed-in" alternate will be admitted.
* Once the on-site alternate is paged, he/she will have 4 minutes to report.
* If he/she takes longer than 4 minutes to report, he/she will be bypassed until a subsequent vacancy occurs.

Players may not use electronic devises on court that are designed for communication (cell phones, etc.) or data storage/display (pocket notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc.). Use of these devices will result in immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. (A device that is in the "ON" mode constitutes use.) Notes and printed materials brought on court for reference with a player are permitted.

* Courtesy Check-in for everyone: Friday 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Crowne Plaza
* Players whose travel arrangements will not allow them to make the Friday check-in need to check in at least an hour before their first match on Saturday.
* The tournament Check-in desk will be open at 7:00 AM on Saturday at Rebsamen Tennis Center for those that do not make check-in on Friday.
* On-site alternates may check in on Friday, but must sign the On-site Alternate Roster on Saturday morning to be considered for entry.
* Singles play begins: Saturday, June 14 at 8:00 AM at all sites
* Doubles Deadline: Friday night, June 13 at 11:59 PM.

We will be using the Wilson US Open ball for all matches.

Burns Park Tennis Center has three outdoor courts that will not be used for the tournament and are designated as warm-up courts for the entire tournament. These courts are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Burns Park also has indoor courts that can be booked through reservation. There is a charge for the indoor courts. The number to book a Burns Park indoor court is 501-791-8585,
