CONGRATULATIONS TO MO VALLEY CHIEFS ON THE SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD!
Congratulations to Mo Valley
Chiefs for winning the team spirit / sportsmanship award for the 2014 USTA
Boys' and Girls' Zone Team! The Mo Valley Chiefs team showed great spirit, win
or not, and a team bond and enthusiasm for their team without disrespect of
opponents. They displayed outstanding sportsmanship off the court, with
friendly behavior toward other teams, tournament staff, Arlington Tennis Center
staff and officials. Coach Peter McCorkle was a true leader on and off the
court, and the parents were ... parents, who did not interfere with matches,
and were helpful with off court activities. And another outstanding note: 2014
marks the second year Coach McCorkle’s team won the Spirit / Sportsmanship
award! The Mo Valley Rams won the award when Coach McCorkle led that team in
2012.
