Standings
After the 3rd week of play, team and Individual standings will be updated weekly and posted at this site under the Tournament Reports. The tennisengine ranking program will be used as a "major guide" for standings--it factors in wins, closeness of scores, strength of opponents, and results against common opponents. [ In some cases MOVTA will override tennisengine calculations due to head-to-head results. This may be necessary due to the nature of the league in that players do not always end up with equal number of matches or strengths of opponents and lack ability to specifically challege a certain person, and it's not possible to fully control matchups throughout the summer.] To be eligible for individual standings in a given age division a player must play in at least 3 mini-tournaments in that division. To be eligible for team standings in a division, a team must have at least two players who each play in at least 3 mini-tournaments in that division.
