LATE ENTRIES / ALTERNATES
All players must enter online via TennisLink prior to the entry close date. Late entries are not permitted under any circumstances and there are no alternates allowed (even to replace withdrawals).

SEEDING / MAKING THE DRAW
The top two players/teams will be seeded using their ATP/WTA computer ranking (if any). In order for a singles player to be seeded, the player must have a ATP/WTA singles ranking. In order for a team to be seeded, both members of the team must have a ATP/WTA doubles ranking. The computer list dated seven days prior to the Monday of the tournament week will be used when determining seeds. If there are not two players/teams with a ATP/WTA ranking, then no players/teams will be seeded. After the “Lottery Selection Process” is completed to determine accepted entries and, prior to the draw, the National Tournament Director will determine the top two seeds (if any) and communicate the same to the Tournament Referee and Tournament Director.
The draw will be conducted by the Tournament Director or authorized representative in consultation with the Tournament Referee. Since late entries are not permitted, the draw should be conducted within 24 hours of running the “Lottery Selection Process” but no later than two days prior to the start of your tournament. The draw must not be made until after confirmation by the National Tournament Director of the top two seeds (if any). Making the draw is done automatically via TDM once the tournament is downloaded to TDM from TennisLink. Byes, if any, will be allocated to the top seed first followed by the second seed. The rest of the byes, if any, will be evenly distributed throughout the draw. Once the seeds and byes have been designated (if any) in TDM, the draw is made by clicking the “make draw” button. Once the draw is made it will be posted to this tournament home page.

This tournament is part of the US Open National Playoffs - a
series of tournaments that gives any player 14 years of age or
older who meets the eligibility requirements the opportunity to
qualify for the 2013 US Open. Sectional Qualifying Tournaments will
be held across 13 USTA Sections to include a men's singles, women's
singles and mixed doubles division between April 1 and July 4. With
a maximum of a 256 singles draw and a 128 mixed doubles team draw,
players/teams will compete in a single elimination draw. Singles
players will play to the best-of-three tiebreak sets and mixed
doubles teams will play two tiebreak sets, no-ad scoring, with a
match tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Within each division, the
top two players/teams will be seeded based on their ATP/WTA
computer ranking (if any). The winner of each Sectional Qualifying
Tournament in each division (men's singles, women's singles, mixed
doubles) will advance to the US Open National Playoffs
Championships in their respective division taking place in New
Haven, CT at Yale University during the New Haven Open at Yale, an
Emirates Airline US Open Series event (August 16-19 for singles,
August 21-24 for mixed doubles). The winner of each Singles
Championship (1 male, 1 female) will receive a wild card entry to
compete in the 2013 US Open Qualifying Tournament (August 20-23)
and the winner of the Mixed Doubles Championship (1 team) will
receive a wild card entry to compete in the 2013 US Open Mixed
Doubles Championship (commencing August 28) at the USTA Billie Jean
King National Tennis Center. Go to usopen.org/nationalplayoffs for
additional information. Good luck!
The tournament director will run a "Lottery Selection Process" via TennisLink within 24 hours after the entry close date which will automatically accept all entries if the total number of entries into the tournament is less than or equal to 256 for men's singles, less than or equal to 256 for women's singles, and less than or equal to 128 teams for mixed Doubles; and, if applicable, less than or equal to 128 teams for men's doubles, and less than or equal to 128 teams for women's doubles. If the total number of entries into the tournament is greater than the above, then the "Lottery Selection Process" will determine accepted entries at random. A player's entry fee will only be processed if he/she is accepted into the tournament. All players accepted into the tournament will receive an email notification via TennisLink indicating as such and will be posted online once the "Lottery Selection Process" is run. All players not accepted into the tournament will receive an email notification via TennisLink indicating as such once the "Lottery Selection Process" is run.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, June 10, 2013 2:27:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
