The first day of the tournament, October 21, has been designated PINK DAY! So wear your pink and support our cause: The John Fetting Fund for Breast Cancer Prevention (at the Stanley Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital). We will wear pink, sell pink lemonade, use pink balls, etc., etc.! We will have a short recognition of PINK DAY ata 2 p.m. on Monday. Great day today - for tennis and breast cancer! Thanks for your participation! Check the draws carefully for Tuesday, some at 2 pm, some at 3 pm. Dress warmly, keep wearing pink if you want, come and buy some pink socks at the desk, and PLEASE remember to report scores to the desk!

Draws are now posted. PLEASE check them carefully!! Some second round matches will be played Monday! Also, not all matches in a round played at the same time. On the draws, those listed as 2 p.m. matches will go out at 2. Those listed as 3 p.m. will go out as courts are available some may go out soon after 2, some at 3, some perhaps later. Finally, do check the draws the night before your match they do occasionally change. And do check the message below on Parking - new for 2013.

We will post draws sometime over the weekend of October 18-20. The earlier we get ALL entry forms, the earlier we will post them. Even before they are posted, you can plan on: ALL B CONFERENCE first round matches will play Monday, October 21, with most starting at 2 p.m. and some following. ALL A CONFERENCE first round and SOME second round matches will also be starting Monday, October 21, with most starting at 2 p.m. and some following. B Conference semi-finals will be Tuesday, and finals Wednesday. A Conference 2nd round matches will continue Tuesday, semi-finals will be Wednesday, and finals Thursday. First matches Monday and Tuesday will be at 2 p.m. First matches Wednesday and Thursday will be at 3 p.m. If we encounter weather, Friday has been designated as a rain date.

Courts 16, 17, and 18 will be available for practice throughout the tournament. The concession stand will be open throughout the tournament selling fruit, drinks, bagels, sandwiches, etc., etc. USTA Officials will be on site and will enforce the Code of Conduct. All contestents, buses, vans, visitors, parents, etc., must enter McDonogh School via the third entrance - Lamborn Road, where the traffic light is. They should then continue on Lamborn Road, go through the parking lot and left around the athletic center, and park in the Eagle Lot. And then walk to the courts. No one should go up the main drive (Shell Road) or park by the dorms and classroom buildings, which can result in your being towed.

Seeding completed by tennis commissioner based on seeding requests received from the coaches. For A Conference # 2 Doubles, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seeds determined by lot (all had one loss). For B Conference computer will not allow more than two seeds, so at # 1 singles 3rd seed (Greenberg) and 4th seed (Cole) placed on appropriate lines. For # 2 singles 3rd seed Komins placed, at # 1 doubles 3rd seed Kunkle/Zhang placed, at # 2 doubles 3rd seed Heydt/DeLeonibus placed, at # 3 doubles, Basir/lMalviya placed.
