WARM UP WITH BOLLETTIERI TENNIS ACADEMY
IMG/BOLLETTIERI Tennis Academy coaches, Jose Lambert and Ches Gibson, will hold a pre tournament tune up / warm up on Friday, April 12, from 5:15 – 6:15pm specifically for the tournament players!! The cost is $50 per player, which is tax deductible.

CHANGE IN TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION
Registration will take place at PLEASANT VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB from 3:00 -7:00 on Friday, April 12. If, for reasons beyond your control you cannot make
registration on Friday, please notify the tournament director

CONSOLATION LOSERS
If you lose in the first round of consolation or have a bye in the first round of consolation you will most likely have another match in the EXTRA DRAW on Sunday. Please have the referee help you. Names will be posted in the Extra Draws by 9 pm Saturday.

USTA SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Since Jan. 2012 all USTA Southern Junior Level 3 tournaments follow the following format unless specifically stated on their tournament web site. Highlights of the New Format are as follows:
ALL LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENTS WILL BE HELD OVER A TWO DAY PERIOD (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY) UNLESS APPROVED BY USTA Southern.
1. All tournaments shall have two 16 balanced draws in each age division.
2. Two 16 draws will be determined by use of the waterfall system.
3. Format: Consolation will be a feed-in through the QF with a Dependent Draw for the losers of the first round FIC match. This will guarantee three matches.
4. If the number of participants goes under 24 (23 or less), one draw will be used instead.
5. Format will remain the same for all Level 3 events. The only change will be for an Indoor event which will be able to add one day.
6. Seeding shall follow the USTA Southern Section seeding regulations. Players selected on their 10’s standing shall not be considered for seeding in the 12’s division.
7. Scoring: Tie Break in lieu of the third set shall be used in all matches.
8. 10's will play on 60ft court using Orange Low Compression balls and 25" racquets Scoring: will be the best of three short sets,with No-Ad Scoring, using a set (7pt) tie break at 4 all, with a set (7pt) tie break in lieu of the third set.
9. NEW LEVEL 3 POINTS TABLE: More points for Level 3 tournaments.
10. With the smaller draws more players will receive more points.

ONSITE ALTERNATES
Onsite alternates should notify the tournament referee, Cheryl Helton at chelton48@yahoo.com, that you intend to be at the tournament as an onsite alternate. On Saturday morning, report to the site where your age division is playing. If an opening occurs, alternate will be entered in the same order as the Ordered Alternate List published on the website.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
A signed medical release form is required prior to playing your first match. Parent or guardian must sign the medical release. Please print the form and bring the completed document with you to registration at the Tournament Check in.

SCORING FORMAT/REGULATIONS
For BG 12, 14, 16, 18: All main draw matches and all consolation matches will be regular scoring for best of two tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak (first to 10 by 2 points)to be played in lieu of the third set.
For BG10: Main and consolation singles matches will be no-ad scoring in best of two short sets to four with a set tiebreak (first to 7) at 4-4 and set tiebreak (first to 7) in lieu of the third set. Play will be on 60 foot courts, using orange balls and rackets 25 inches or less.
The consolation will be a full feed-in consolation through the quarterfinals. Consolation matches will be played through the semifinal round. Losers in the first round of consolation will play a Dependent Draw (2 rounds).
There will be a playoff for third and fourth place in the main draw singles.

WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals after the entry deadline should be in writing and the reason for the withdrawal given. On or BEFORE THURSDAY, APRIL 4, please withdraw on the website. Go to the Tournament website and find "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Comfirmation" just below "Withdraw".Your credit card will not be charged and no reason for the withdrawal is necessary.
AFTER THURSDAY. APRIL 4 at 11:59pm, withdrawing players should email the referee at chelton48@yahoo.com stating the reason for the withdrawal.
No refund will be given if a player withdraws after noon, Saturday, April 6.

DRESS CODE
For the Boys: Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoff sleeves. For the Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.

Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list, you must withdraw from the alternate list first and then enter the 2nd event.

SEEDING
USTA SOUTHERN SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using the results from recently published)(4/5 ) USTA Southern Combined Standings List of the division in the order in which players appear on the list.
Players who have a standing in the next younger age division MAY be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top range of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings List of any younger age division as determined by the Southern Seeding Calculator.
BG12 will not seed from the lower age division.
Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 10000 ATP or WTA rankings will be considered for seeding. Please notify the tournament if you are within these ranges.

USTA RULE FOR 3 minute Rest Break
When using a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 3 minute break. Coaching will be allowed during this break on court or in designated area. If a bathroom break is requested there will be no coaching.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

ENTERING TWO AGE DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines:
#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age
#2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list for the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
There will be no exceptions to these guidelines. If you feel you have made an incorrect entry during the entry process, you can edit your registration until the entry closing date.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Entry for BG12, BG14, BG16 and BG18 will be based on selection criteria of 28 from the age group of the event and up to 4 from the lower age group who do not get in the first 28, and who are in the top 40 of the Southern standings in the lower age group at the time of selection.
Entry for BG10 will be based on selection criteria of 32 in the Southern standings at the time of selection.
Selections will be made using the most current Southern Standing Lists at time of selections.

DRAWS
The draws will be made at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 10. First Match times (FUTURE MATCH REPORT) will be posted by noon on Thursday, April 11.

The official ball for the tournament is Wilson US Open for BG12-18. BG10 will use the 2-tone orange ball.

NO DOUBLES IN THIS TOURNAMENT

ARKANSAS LEVEL 2 TOURNAMENT. SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT.
Deadline - 11:59 pm. Registration is online only. Event limit: 2
singles. Applicants may sign up for 2 divisions, but only play in
one. Selections are based on most recent Southern standings. 32
players will be selected for each event and then will be split into
two draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection,
with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4
playoff. Losers in the first round of consolation will play in a
dependent consolation draw. All players are guaranteed 3 matches.
The Finals of the Consolation will not be scheduled and will not be
played. Boys and Girls 10's will play on 60 foot courts using
Orange Low Compression Balls and 25" racquets. In the event of
inclement weather, match format is subject to change.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
