Tournament Update July- 20th
As in the past, schedule of play will be Singles first, followed by Doubles, then Mixed Doubles. Please remember that our start date this year is Wednesday the 23rd, as posted at the top of the registration page. This allows us to spread out the draws over 5 days, especially for singles play. This helps us continue great traditions, such as playing a full 2 out of 3 sets, NO 10pt breaker for the 3rd. Also, a Wednesday start allows extra cushion for inclement weather. Our goal is to play all matches outside on the clay surface, even though we now have the ability to go indoors if needed. Lastly, our beautiful mountain setting provides us with the perfect backdrop for some amazing tennis, but what it doesn't have is "lighted courts"... which is part of the beauty. Our goal is to provide a top notch tournament, with great tennis, food, and atmosphere. A few of our players are curious as to the Wednesday start... I thought I would give you a bit of insight to our process. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you this week! Bryan M. Dirk

Important Dinner Party Info!
Our dinner party schedule has changed this year... please take note! We will now have our Pasta Dinner, catered by www.joesitaliankitchen.com on Thursday evening. The big BBQ dinner, catered by www.tiptonsbarbecue.com will now be on Friday evening. That's right, Friday evening is the big party with the Silent Auction, DJ, and dance floor!
We have one other change to announce. The past 2 years we have been able to include the player's guest(s) for our dinner parties at no extra cost. We regret to inform, but we are no longer able to extend this offer. However, we are still able to offer our dinners at a minimal cost, as follows:
Tournament Players -$0 Both dinner parties Included in Registration Price 1st Guest - $10 per party 2nd Guest plus others - $15 per person per party Children 12 and under - Free
Important: You will be able to add and pay for your Guest(s) on arrival at YRC...when you check in and receive your player packet. Cash is preferred for Guest payment. This new pricing will go a long way to help defer our overall food cost and help us maintain the quality you have come to expect. For our "new" tournament players, our dinners include sides, dessert, beer and wine, and entertainment on Friday night! Also, don't miss out on the Silent Auction, which will be located in the INDOOR Court Building. Thank you for your understanding and support.

MATCH FORMAT and LOCATIONS FOR ALL DIVISIONS
All matches will play 2 out of 3 full sets with a *12pt Comen tiebreak at 6 all, which means first to 7pts, win by 2pts...this includes Main Draw and Consolation. * Definition of a 12pt tiebreak or "Best of Twelve". 7 is best of 12. In another words, you could win 7-5 in twelve points, which gives the official USTA name 12pt tiebreaker.
All matches will be played on HarTru(clay) surface unless there is inclement weather. News for 2014- We have been working hard this off season to ensure completion of our great tournament. We are very fortunate to have such a supportive tennis community in the High Country. For the first time, we have come to an Official agreement for Indoor Court usage, in case of a Rain Out. Grandfather Country Club and Deer Valley Racquet Club have agreed to Indoor Hard Court access during our tournament. This brings us to a total of 9 indoor hard courts in case of Rain.
