We are pushing back all start times by an addtional 1/2 hour only to allow a little more time for courts to dry- All 730 am matches will now start at 930 am, and all later matches will need to add 2 hours to original start time. thanks for you patience and support. Hello Players and Parents. We will be on an official 1.5 hour rain delay for all matches schedule on Saturday. Any and all matches schedule for 730am will now start at 900am. Any matches scheduled for any other time, such as 1pm will now be starting at 230pm We do have lights on 7 of our courts at GVTC and Wesley so we will play through until 10pm if necessary to get all matches completed today on time. We have a full schedule for Sunday including a great afternoon of doubles events, so please plan accordingly today to get all of your matches completed w/in time sccheduled for today. Precipation is now zero on weather channel so hopefully courts will be dry by 9am All parents and player if you would like to help dry off courts early, we would love your help at 830am. Please bring old towels and brooms to quickly remove puddles, we have a blower and 2 squeegees as well. 30 minutes at GVTC should get the courts dry for 9am play, and then we will move to Lions and Wesely afterward to get courts dry and ready for play. thanks for your patience and support during these rain delays, and please check back here on the site for further potential changes and weather delays throughout the weekend. Hello Tournament Players and Parents, We are all set for a great weekend of tennis competition and fun in Golden Valley. We will be using a total of 11 courts at three facilities all in Golden Valley. Our locations for this event will be as follows: 1) Golden Valley Tennis Center at Brookview Park (GVTC) - located at 200 Brookview Parkway on the South East Corner of Hwy 55 and Winnetka Avenue just off Harold Avenue. 2) Lions Park (Lions)- Just down the Street from GVTC - Off Harold Avenue just 4 blocks east of GVTC 3) South Wesley Park- 8305 Wesley Drive- Head North On Winnetka from Hwy 55 and turn left at Plymouth Avenue and follow Plymouth for about 5 blocks and Wesley Park will be on your right. Please note girls 18's draw- the 2nd round of round robin begins on Friday Evening and the 1st round begins on Saturday. So please check all round robing start times to find your first match. We will be posting all doubles draws on Thursday Evening at 6pm. We would like to sign up and pair all players up for the doubles portion of our tournament. There is no extra cost for doubles competition on Sunday afternoon. Doubles will run from approximately 12pm - 6pm Sunday. Our doubles play will feature a free pizza party for all players during the afternoon. Parents and players please email either way - yes or no - if you are able to play doubles and would like to be paired with a partner as well.
