Hello Parents and Players, we have new times posted for play continuing from 330pm to 10pm Saturday IMPORTANT: ALL 10'S DOUBLES ARE POSTPONED UNITL LATE SUNDAY AFTER SINGLES PLAY ALL 18'S SINGLES POSTPONED UNTIL TOMORROW- DOUBLES WILL BE LATE SUNDAY NIGHTS, 18'S singles plan on playing at 8am tomorrow morning and straight through all day- 4 rounds to complete tomorrow. All other divisions times have been updated for today and play will begin at 330 today. Parents and players of 330 and 4pm start times please come to help dry off court w/ old towels and any other squeegies and brooms that you have. Courts should be ready to go at 330 or 4pm at the latest and we should have a fun afternoon and evening for some great tennis the rest of today and great weather tomorrow as well. Once again thanks for your patience, hopefully no more updates prior to start of play at 330 pm today. All matches will begin on time or within 30 minutes of scheduled time, please do not call to see if we are running on time, but instead check in 30 minutes prior to your matches this afternoon at all locations. Aquila park players please check in at Aquila Park directly and do not report to GVTC prior to start. Continuation- We are still on a temporary weather delay for all matches. please check back to this website by 12:30 at the lates to find out future updates for schedule for all of todays matches. Please only email for questions about schedule changes unless it is an emergency. We are planning to begin play today at 3:30 pm and push back some of the matches throughout this evening. We have 7 lighted courts to continue matches on until 9 or 10pm. All individual matches will have updates for start times later today or tomorrow instead. Based on the amount of daylight and court scheduling some matches may not begin until tomorrow. Doubles will be pushed back into the evening on Sunday night and hopefully we will get some rounds completed through 7pm Sunday thanks again for your patience and understanding with scheduling challenges with the weather today. Hello Parents and Players. We are still planning on starting all matches scheduled for 8am on time tomorrow morning. Thunderstorms are likely by 9am and light rain will continue until 2pm. Hopefully we will be playing tennis on the courts tomorrow from 3pm -10pm tomorrow evening. Plan for a long evening and hopefully clear your afternoon and evening schedules for tomorrow to get in as much tennis as possible on Saturday that we are able. Once rain delays do occur please allow 1-1.5 hours for us to reassign all start times for the afternoon schedule. We will be using 21 courts if necessary in Golden Valley and St. Louis Park to complete as many matches as possible on Saturday to stay on schedule. We have already made some updates to the draws for tomorrow morning. All players and parents please check new start times for your matches prior to coming over to play today. All matches will now begin at 5pm at the ealries and many matches have been rescheduled for later today or tomorrow morning. We are trying to keep as many matches going and completed today with the hopes of finishing the singles portion of the tournament even with the potential for rain all day tomorrow. thanks again for you patience and understanding throughtout these delays and changes to the schedule. Hello Tournament Players and Parents, We are all set for a great weekend of tennis competition and fun in Golden Valley. The weather does look not great for Saturday with a 60% chance of rain. Please remember to check this site for updates before leaving the house for all of your matches. All information regarding schedule changes will be posted on this website, and we maybe using alternative sites for the tournament so remember to check your court locations as well. We will be using a total of 13 courts at four facilities all in Golden Valley. Our locations for this event will be as follows: 1) Golden Valley Tennis Center at Brookview Park (GVTC) - located at 200 Brookview Parkway on the South East Corner of Hwy 55 and Winnetka Avenue just off Harold Avenue. 2) Lions Park (Lions)- Just down the Street from GVTC - Off Harold Avenue just 4 blocks east of GVTC 3) South Wesley Park- 8305 Wesley Drive- Head North On Winnetka from Hwy 55 and turn left at Plymouth Avenue and follow Plymouth for about 5 blocks and Wesley Park will be on your right. 4) Seman Park- On Corner of Golden Valley Road and Florida Ave- just due east from Winnetka Ave off of Golden Valley Road **ALL PLAYERS WILL CHECK IN FOR ALL OF THEIR MATCHES AT GOLDEN VALLEY TENNIS CENTER BROOKVIEW PARK- WE WILL BE TAKING ALL SCORES FROM ONE LOCATION AND SENDING MATCHES OUT W/ BALLS FROM GVTC THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. WE WILL HAVE UMPIRES AT ALL LOCATIONS. Please note we have 2 COED draws in the 10 and under divisions-so please check both BOYS and GIRLS draws to make sure your names are on the draws. Coed "Boys" 10's - Level ONE Single Divisions Begins on Sunday Morning and Level 1 Doubles will begin on Saturday afternoon. Coed "Girls" 10's Level 2 Singles begins on Sunday afternoon and there will not be doubles on Sunday scheduled at this time. We will be posting all doubles draws on Thursday Evening at 6pm. We would like to sign up and pair all players up for the doubles portion of our tournament. There is no extra cost for doubles competition on Sunday afternoon. Doubles will run from approximately 1pm - 6pm Sunday. Our doubles play will feature a free pizza party for all players during the afternoon. Parents and players please email either way - yes or no - if you are able to play doubles and would like to be paired with a partner as well if you are not already paired up w/ a partner. ATTENTION PLAYERS AND PARENTS, Due to the potential risk of weather issues on Saturday we have added another site for this weekends tournament and moved up match times and locations for matches as well beggining on Saturday. Aquila Park in St. Louis Park 3100 Xylon Avenue South has an 8 court faciliity that we will also be using this weekend. Please check your draws to make sure you are aware of your new time changes and court locations. We will still have ALL PLAYERS CHECK IN AT GVTC BROOKVIEW PARK 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO START OF THEIR FIRST MATCHES. All doubles draws are now posted as well, hopefully we will be able to play the doubles on Sunday as planned. Any tournament players only signed up for doubles, please remember to check this important info section before coming to the tournament on Sunday. With Rain forecasted for all day Saturday, it is very likely that we will be playing the Singles draws deep into the day on Sunday, and may not be able to start, play or complete the doubles portion of the tournament by Sunday evening. We will provide tournament credits for a future 2014 event to all participants not able to participate or complete an event during the course of this weekend.
